Williams (78 RT) vs Lauderdale (61 LT) pt 1
Williams sloppy feet have him late and over stepping. Edge rusher uses that momentum against him and gets rid of him. Lauderdale, no wasted movement and the feet don't get too close to each other. He's in position to block speed off the edge, bull rush, and the inside move.
pt2
Williams again with sloppy feet, overstepping the edge rusher and gives up his post step (Inside foot staggers up to help prevent a direct line to the QB from the rusher). Can't stop himself, he loses again.
Laudie has an instant threat to his inside step. First step establishes the post foot and shuts down any chance of a pass rush.
pt 3
WIlliams sloppy feet again. Picks up his post foot and opens the door inside. Unable to feed his rusher to the guard on a stunt because of it and the right side is done. (Garnett does his job but gets no help from WIlliams)
Lauderdale is a night and day difference from WIlliams. kick steps without overstepping or giving up his post foot. Doesn't turn his hips until the rusher commits outside, rides his rusher out past the QB. TEXTBOOK TACKLE PLAY. BTW, his feet are just as good on the right side.
