To be honest, I like Ward for knowing when to secure a tackle and when to hit. You don't always want to hit when you are the last defender. Last season, when Moore started the season he struggled with that. This game he didn't miss any tackle from what I can tell, but he needs more games to prove to me he can tackle in the open field consistently when he is the last defender. I don't doubt that he is talented and has lots of potential.
Yeah, Ward will always err on the side of caution but does so so much he rarely ever makes a play on the ball to ensure the tackle is made immediately after the catch.
Moore is always looking to make a play. Like you said, if he can continue to show discipline, he could be a real keeper.
