Because Ward is better and he sucked as a CB. I don't get why Harris plays over him though since they always say our Safeties are interchangeable. I'd play him over Harris in a heartbeat

Yeah, I'd play him over Harris also - Harris is going to cost us one of these games.
Ward had the two worst angles this game. But you can see what a play making S can do for you. If T.Moore grows in his angles and understanding of the defense, he has a great feel for play making, something Ward just clearly doesn't have.

That's a strong statement to make for a guy who just graded out at 82. Funny how 4.2 speed messes up your angles

MOORE - don't these SECONARY COACHES ever teach their players to look play the ball instead of react to the pass catchers???

His INT would have been an EZ interception had he been playing the ball !!!
Honestly I'm fine with letting this kid start at FS next yr if Ward wants big money.

His athletic ability is off the charts.

33 1/8" arms 6-2 200LBs
4.32 40
2.5 20 yard split
38 1/2" vert
133" broad jump
6.95 3-cone

These are insane measurables...kid just needs more snaps at FS. He needs more time and more coaching.

Always seems to find the ball too esp. in the RZ. Good instincts. Had a full year to learn now. I'd be cool with it too.

I can't see him getting crazy money but you just never know who's going to be desperate.
We haven't had a safety that could make plays since Goldie 😛 I would rather give up a few plays every season and gain interceptions as a result of moving to Moore instead of Ward

Agreed. Ward played great but we didn't get as many turnovers as I would have liked from the defense

Moore is more of a ball hawk than Ward.

I can see the Browns throwing him some cash. Woods loves Ward.

Great freaking point.

Plus I don't think we drafted him as a high 3rd to sit on the bench (expected couple years to develop). They want this guy on the field. It was a blessing he got some real game experience so now he knows what it's like and what he needed to work on.

TBH, for better or for worse this is kinda the story for Armstead + Thomas and Sanders + Taylor/Hurd/Pettis also.

It's not like Moore, Thomas, Taylor/Hurd/Pettis are all going to pan out or be able to replace the production of Ward/Armstead/Sanders, but you can't say that ShannyLynch haven't been preparing for these transitions.
