Greg Mabin CB Iowa

Lets see he came in and didn't get burned so he's pretty much in line for NT HOF.

Dontae Johnson has stunk all year but we have no one else to play.

If Maybin flashes he will be in camp next year but I fully expect us to target a #1 CB in free agency.

Trumaine Johnson has not been good this year.

I'd be giving Malcolm Butler a 5 year, 50 mil deal with 29 guaranteed and Jonathan Joseph a 3 year, 22.5 mil deal with 11 guaranteed.

We need some veterans in our secondary.

CB1- Malcolm Butler
CB1- Jonathan Joseph
CB3- Akhello Witherspoon
CB4- Jimmy Ward
CB5- Greg Maybin / Rookie
Slot- K'Wuann Williams
SS- Jaquiski Tartt - Dexter McCoil

The Hopkins onslaught definitely calmed down once Mabin replaced DJ. I've noticed he's also a very good ST player. I'd have no problem with him getting an opportunity the rest of the season. Lord knows DJ's made a mess of his chance.

Agreed, DJ did look intimidated by Hopkins. With that said, I think it was easy for Mabin to step in and get in Hopkins' face because he didn't have anything to lose at that point, it was obvious the way DJ was playing him was ineffective so Mabin just did the opposite and it seemed to work for the short amount of time. I think we need to move on from DJ but doubt at this point Mabin will be the guy to replace him.

They changed the defense when Mabin came in and bracketed Hopkins.

That was smart because HOU got next to nothing after that happened.....DJ still sucks tho

No, Breeland is terrible.

I don't think Malcolm Butler fits the Seattle style defense.

So we giving up on spoon to be the potential number 1 already and bumping him down to 3?

Kittle makes it again as well. Mabin played well when he came in. I hope he can keep it up
