Genus, real experts like Crock are asking questions about this. Legitimate convo. Sorry it's not a circle jerk. Not pointing out every flaw, just having a fun convo

It's always easy to predict what's going to happen based on the game too. I don't think anyone's opinion will change about Jimmy so it's the same s**t.
We get a much needed and impressive win and people want to point out every flaw in Garoppolo's game despite the result.
Oh no his air yards were low. Oh no he missed a couple of throws.
Are air yards worth more?
I mean we're all supposedly fans of this team right? We saw the issues on our side vs the strengths of the Rams? Why are some expecting Jimmy to air the ball out versus getting out as quick as possible?
The question should be where the hell was this playcalling before?
Garoppolo isn't there yet. He missed some throws. The throw to Juice needs to be made and I have a feeling if he wasn't concerned about the ankle he makes it. I'll have to rewatch it but looked to me like he was concerned about the pressure coming at him and didn't step into the throw and it sailed on him.
Hopefully he builds on the confidence from this game as our schedule doesn't get much easier. Pats are going to be pissed after their embarrassing loss to the Broncos. They play a lot of man so if Mostert is out...our receivers better be able to separate or we could be in for an ugly one.
pretty sure it was a similar strategy vs. the eagles except Mullens couldn't get the ball out fast enough and our run blocking as not nearly as good/pass blocking

before anyone get's upset...loved the placement for the Kittle TD, the 3rd down completion to Trent, Aiyuk TD, and I think there was a out route he hit Bourne on that showed he's got the arm strength (or at the very least can push off that back foot).
NY....don't be that guy.
I mean come on, getting passing stats from those handoffs is pretty silly
Does that rule apply just for Jimmy? Mahomes had like 2 of those TDs the other week and nobody complained.
I think it's pretty stupid myself but Jimmy is executing the play. Posting that stuff like that with "great ball placement" is super passive aggressive and lame.
Like is that where we're at now? Bashing the QB for doing his job properly just because it's easy?

Look I don't have to be all up on Jimmy's nuts and I don't have to hate him either...I've said he's a good QB when everything is clicking and you don't have to rely on him having to be the whole offense. Last night was a perfect example of that.
Come on man...
"great ball placement" and then posting those gifs? That's troll level sh*t.
He played within the offense and did what he needed to do while still not being 100%.
Like I said air yards aren't worth more points so who gives a flying f*ck how many the QB gets as long as we're moving the chains, scoring TDs?

I'm not bashing Jimmy for it. It's just a silly stat that skews things. Mahomes doesn't need those yards

And you clearly don't read all of my comment from that post or the OP I was commenting on...you don't get to claim he was sniper accurate when a good chunk of his "passing yards" can on forward handoffs. 75% of his completions were <10 yard passing attempts. It works so that's great, that s**t isn't gonna fly every week and you know it!
I also posted this in that same post you felt the need to call be passive aggressive

Nothing wrong with pointing out good and bad, genus.

gotcha. I was more impressed with a couple throws as opposed to the total final stat line. the only way to beat Aaron Donald was to neutralize him with this kind of game plan. luckily, we have the receivers to execute it perfectly and get YAC

I just wanna see it. Hopefully next week. Was his yards per air 8.4 last year?
You said yards per attempt. Show me that stat??
Just an FYI, not trying to argue about this stuff with you. You get all heated when anyone isn't on their knees for Jimmy G
No, I said air yards per attempt. Jimmy was in the negatives during the first half last night. Google NFL next generation stats. It's all there
Nah bro, seriously do you even see some of the crap some of you post, it's just down right silly.
"Then I get the ole glad you're not a mod anymore" b******t. Honestly, I never took the ridiculous criticism of Jimmy G. too serious when I was a mod. I was too busy reading through every page, trying to find the real trolls. Sure some times I got into it, but I wouldn't go too far with it, well until like the last two years of being a mod I didn't.

About what? Jimmy's play?
That's fair. He's been very hot/cold this year so questions should be there. Even in yesterday's game he missed stuff he needs to hit.
However I've seen people bashing Jimmy mid game for the tiniest thing. Ball bounces off Kittle's hand "awful throw", etc..
Not every throw can be perfectly placed. A receivers job is to catch the ball if it's within reach. Other QBs make those type of throws all the time and nobody claims the throws were awful. They say the throw was off but the receiver should've caught it.
...that to me is a legit convo and constructive criticism.
Turning that into something like "terrible throw by Garoppolo there" is taking it a step further into overreact mode.
Just because Jimmy hasn't proven himself to be one of the top 10 QBs consistently every non perfect thing he does is blown up exponentially. It's absolutely nuts.

Gimme an example of crap I post? Is it as bad as banning someone who doesn't like UFC?
I never troll Jimmy or this thread. I want him to be good. I cheer for him. The Saints game, and at AZ were great games. I just want that consistently. And if he plays poorly, which happens at times, it's worth pointing out. When you should have won the super bowl last year, the expectations are extremely high

That ball placement
Haha...nice pass, but seems like a pretty standard NFL throw to me.
Our expectations have really nose dived for the QB position..
This is just stupid. He makes the beautiful throw and it's a standard NFL throw. He doesnt make the throw and he sucks. He can't win. That was a gorgeous 4th down throw. If Jimmy doesn't make several throws like this tonight they lose. No respect.
Yup double standard. Someone said earlier ball placement doesn't matter for YAC imagine if this pass was thrown behind kittle, probably no TD or even an INT, if Mahomes made that same throw it would have been an example of how he's a playmaker. Jimmy does it and it's just a standard throw

Yeah, experts like Crock are questioning Jimmys game. Kittle has a bad drop yesterday on a third down. That wasn't on Jimmy. That kind of stuff is over the top... fair post
