Hopefully, this OL protects our QB, like the secret service protects the President, taking the bullet for him.

It's the interior OL we need to be worried about. They're not great in pass sets either the exception of Brunskill. However, he's at a position he's unfamiliar with so his PP might take a hit as well. Expect to see Jim bailing out a lot, and making plays happen off-schedule. Hopefully Aiyuk will be healthy by week 1 so he's able to sneak behind defenses for his QB to make a play downfield.

Yup...expect a lot of dump offs to McKinnon, roll outs off shotgun, 2 TE sets, screen passes and running the ball a ton.

Not exactly the same vision, but okay. I was thinking more like this.

Oh yeah...naturally that's better than this type of scrambling!

IOL is consistent though.

Let's never forget that, and it shall never happen again! True about the IOL, haha. I think Jim learned his lesson on running out of bounds that day. That throw Jim made against the Vikings in 2018 should remind all of us why he is special. That's an elite throw that not every QB can make.

Haha. On the real though, Jimmy Garoppolo should be much more mobile this year and he definitely can be dangerous once flushed out or on designed roll outs or behind a moving OL.

That's one thing that Jimmy isn't top notch at. He's elusive, but not the kind of mobility that other speedy QB's kind of mobility have. He's never going to have it, so Kyle's just going to have to scheme around that - with as another had said, moving pockets, dump offs, and flair outs. Nice thing about Jimmy's knee injury, we got Bosa and BDN. I don't know if we're in the super bowl without Nick Bosa or if Jimmy would be as good if BDN didn't push him to be a better QB.
For the PFF Faithful....(and you KNOW who you are )......

Jimmy Ranked as "Middle of the Pack" QB,...coming in at 15th Best in The League

"These rankings are obviously rooted in the PFF data," wrote Monson, "but the gray area between them is fleshed out by my own take and opinion and is not an indication that PFF hates anybody."

Patrick Mahomes of the Kansas City Chiefs, of course, comes in at No. 1 within Monson's ranking, with Russell Wilson from the division-rival Seattle Seahawks following up in second place.

The next NFC West quarterback — Jimmy Garoppolo of the San Francisco 49ers — comes in at No. 15. That is two spots higher than Jared Goff of the Los Angeles Rams and four spots higher than Kyler Murray of the Arizona Cardinals.

"Few quarterbacks in the league have a better situation around them than Jimmy Garoppolo working within Kyle Shanahan's offense," wrote Monson. "He has shown stretches of elite play but hasn't become the player many expected him to be when the 49ers traded for him to be the leader of this offense."

"Garoppolo isn't just a product of the offense, however, and some of his best PFF game grades have come in games where he was expected to do more than just manage the offense," added Monson. "If he could cut down on the inexplicable errors in his game (18 turnover-worthy plays in 2019), he would look more like the player many expected him to be based on the early flashes of potential."

Has been repeated here ad nauseam due to needless disputes regarding the obvious holes in his game. Rather than denying that they exist,...your interest should be heightened to see that he gets better at them.
MVP Year for JG coming up! Get ready!!

LOL.

Garoppolo is so underpaid now.

Nope. At least not with the same refs.

Disagree. I think Watson puts up double Jimmys stats in that game. If nothing else he's able to score more points imo.
