Or maybe Shanny is not wanting to push Jimmy G's knee with to many drop backs and roll outs?

I think that's a reasonable explanation.

I can't imagine Kyle being too happy about having to deviate from what he does best, tho.

Agreed. I'm guessing we see a lot of the same versus the Bengals this week and Steelers next week though. After the bye week we should start settling into the base offense. If we can win at least one of these next two we'll be in great shape.

You run better from under center, and we didn't run too well.

Jimmy went 5-0 with an "expansion team" LMAO

No

Yes

Chip Kelly, offense full of starters that can barely make other teams (some aren't on a team lol), and a defense ranked dead last is expansion level.

That's not what Jimmy was working with.

Jimmy "worked with" a 1-10 roster, that started 0-9 that season, worst since the late 70s I believe, a first time GM and HC, a roster that was blown up from the previous year that was also decimated with injuries, and his targets were a trackstar and nothing more, a short white guy, an undrafted rookie, Louis Murphy, Celek Time (was never a thing before Jimmy), George Kittle who was still coming into his own, and Juice (thought of as an overpaid and terrible signing before Jimmy). Oh and by the way? That "talented team" that Jimmy is so privileged to be working with? is 4-20 since 2017, Jimmys 7 wins with the 49ers nearly double what Shanahan and this roster has "accomplished" in three seasons, and he's only played NINE GAMES

I'm one of Grant's biggest detractors, but he nailed this one.

These comments from John Lynch about Nick Mullens and how much we like him...and referring to Jimmy as our QB right now.....To me, they're trying to put pressure on Jimmy Grappolo because they don't like his APPROACH.....

I called this days ago and now Whitlock is saying it? I knew there was something wrong with this dude. f**king knew it.

And all ya'll acted like I was crazy. He does not have the killer mentality. He's not the first-one-in last-one-out type of guy. You could just tell this dude is spoiled after that contract he got. Perfectly content with fkn pornstars and spending Millions, as opposed to chasing greatness.

Watching the Wazzu game, I hope Lynch is looking at Anthony Gordon. Dude can whip the ball and looks like he has killer instinct.

Jimmy better ball against the Bengals or man....

What Grant said is statistically impossible (70.4) unless we were running partial plays We ran 60 plays on Sunday and there's no number that comes up to 70.4 or even a situation where you would round to that number.

41/60= 68.3%
42/60=70.0%
43/60=71.7%

I looked at the nfl gamelog play by play and I counted 29 shot gun plays....that's 48%. Pro-football-reference shows pass attempts in the gun and it had Jimmy down for 18 gun attempts which is 66% of his pass attempts. FWIW he completed 72% from the gun on Sunday. Also that 66% is a tick up from 61% that we ran last year.

Not a shock....Grant Cohn is full of s**t.

Yeah, I'm really disappointed in Hero. I'm going to have to block him now.
