So does it really matter? Lol

Your probably right in a traditional sense. I just don't really care about that 10 mins after I roll out of bed, hung over. Lol. Let's not get so bored that we're debating proper context of old idioms.

I agree with this. People that correct others when we all know the point that's being made kinda gets a little no offense. I wish we had Garnett instead of Solomon Thomas or traded for a great pass rusher (thanks Cleveland)

The Niners' DL seems to use little but a bull rush. This may be because, even in pass rushing, the coaches (Saleh, and maybe Shanahan) want players to defend the run first, by not leaving their lanes. To my mind, this is wrongheaded in today's NFL.

There are reports the Colts want to bring him back. They've been waiving and re-signing players every week.

Never hurts to kick the tires and gauge interest though.

The only problem with Basham is he's pretty much a one trick pony to getting after the quarterback. He doesn't possess many counter moves in his arsenal and I haven't gained much confidence in our coaching staff yet to develop him much further along. With that said I am concious of how poor our depth is on natural edge rushers so I still wouldn't mind gauging his interest.

I'm starting to get this may be the bigger issue.

me to. i have zero confidence in the defensive coaching staff. makes no sense to bring in anyone new cuz the staff is either unable or unwilling to know what to do. a sad state of affairs but thats the way it appears to be. best just get through this. get our 4 wins. change the defensive scenery across the board in the off season and focus on year three of the rebuild

Didn't they hire a pass rush specialist?

Yes, he's a specialist in that field...he's not a custodian who handles the garbage
Blow for Bosa
Guys, I don't know if we'll get 20 sacks this year. Seriously.

What's the record for lowest sacks in NFL history.

edit: Looked it up.

Says the record is 11, with Baltimore Colts in 1982.
