"F" word. WTF are we doing? Do we have the scarlet I tatooed on our foreheads...as in injury? I thought this yr we would shake that, but no, we have crawled right back into almost top of the list and that is ugly. 13/ 213 is 16% meaning we are 1/32 of the entire league or 3 % and yet we have 16% of the injuries...that is 5x what the average team should have . Three yrs in a row and now once again. Is it the field , the warmups, the what???

The weather? A curse? Who knows WTF? It's so frustrating since it always starts early in the season and then snowballs out of control.

And yes it's been 4 years now.
It's the Indian burial ground that Levis is built on...

That's what I go with too.

Can somebody effing reach out to them.. See if we can make a donation and they do some crazy voodoo dance to send the bad spirits away?

Bad teams get injured more.

All Pro's do the simple things effortlessly without exerting themselves any more than they need to, scrubs with their careers on the line have to give everything they have just to make the grade. Worse yet, if you're a stud but the two guys next to you blow their assignments, you have to risk your neck to save a play.
And only half way through the year.

2017 Injured Reserve Total:
2016 (22) --- 2015 (17) --- 2014 (21)
DE Ronald Blair (designated to return/returned Week 9)
DE Tank Carradine (designated to return)
WR Aaron Burbridge
G Joshua Garnett
LB Jimmie Gilbert
CB Prince Charles Iworah
DB Chanceller James
WR B.J. Johnson - Waived
DT Chris Jones
DB Don Jones
LB Donavin Newsome
CB Will Redmond
LB Malcolm Smith
RB Joe Williams
CB Asa Jackson
DL Arik Armstead

New ones to add:

Jimmie Ward

Safety Jimmie Ward suffered a forearm injury during the first quarter following a tackle on a 15-yard pass to Eagles tight end Trey Burton. After some time on the field, Ward was taken to the locker room for further observation and was ruled out. Rookie Adrian Colbert replaced him.

Garry Gilliam

Garry Gilliam, who started at right tackle in place of Trent Brown, suffered a knee injury in the second quarter and was ruled out. Zane Beadles replaced him but would switch to left tackle following another injury. Gilliam started because Brown suffered a concussion last week against the Dallas Cowboys and was not cleared in time to play against Philadelphia.

Joe Staley

Tackle Joe Staley exited the game after sustaining a gash beneath his right eye. The injury occurred following an interception by Eagles cornerback Jalen Mills when defensive lineman Fletcher Cox blocked Staley during the return. The veteran tackle was ruled out. NBC Sports Bay Area reported that Staley was having trouble opening his right eye because of the cut. Staley was replaced by Beadles, who had already replaced Gilliam on the right side. Rookie Erik Magnuson entered the game to take over at right tackle for Beadles.

Solomon Thomas

Defensive lineman Solomon Thomas, who was one of two first-round picks by the 49ers in April, suffered a knee injury during the second half. The 49ers were already without their other first-round selection, linebacker Reuben Foster, who was inactive against Philadelphia. Foster, who has now missed six games this season, was limited during practices all week with a rib injury suffered last week against Dallas.

D.J. Jones

Rookie nose tackle D.J. Jones also suffered a knee injury against Philadelphia. Jones has been a part of the 49ers defensive line rotation behind starter Earl Mitchell.

Pierre Garcon

A neck injury after colliding with a coach on the Eagles out of bounds.

No flag of course.
Not really sure what type of squad Lynch and Shanny are trying to build here? The 2011 squad would start each game fighting, pushing and shoving followed
by complete physical dominance for the next 50 minutes until the other team was beat down. The 2017 team definitely has some speed but are getting beatdown
physically resulting in injuries and 0-8.

The one thing I can give these players is that they don't quit even though they suck.

How long until we see some Beasts on this team?
They need to take a page out of Tom Brady playbook, and do some serious stretching. According to Brady stretching the muscles, joints, and especially the ligaments does a lot more to prevent injuries than hitting the weight room. Fire this training staff and get some real scientist and doctors. But what do I know. Something is very wrong, though.
