I am trying to figure out if all of these injuries do in fact have something to do with the field, or is it just that bad teams have players that are not as in shape and/or are pressing on the field instead of playing naturally

Any other theories?

I'm just chalking it up to Levis being built on an Indian Burial Grounds and cursed. We're clearly cursed.

It is a violent, collision game that is made more dangerous when players are not trained well in how to avoid injuries. It gets back to practice time. Ironically, practice time was cut back to reduce injuries.

How many of these guys would actually be on IR if we were competing for a playoff spot
Another way to read the results may be that bad teams get injured more. More inexperience leads to players getting out of position on many more plays in a game leading to more vulnerability to freak accidents.
