Perhaps Mag should be platooned with a guard or center.

Kilgore and Tomlinson need to go...throw Magnuson at center and Kilgore at guard. At this pt we might as well move some s**t around cause it can't get worse.

Yep

Put Williams at RT.. Its the giants, this is a game where you can make sure no stone is left unturned and give new people an opportunity. Put reid back to SS and give Elijah Lee a shot at WILL. Free deandre, ross!

It has been a slow evening so I went back and watched his play. Some good. Some bad. He played 40 snaps after Gilliam was hurt. Overall one obvious flaw is that he tends to set up too high. Anytime anyone does that, they are going to get beat. As the game went along, he did improve in that area. At one point he got low on Eagle NT and pancaked him on a run play. Nice. Staff should focus on that this week.

He has pretty good footwork and can keep up with speed guys when he recognizes that is what he needs to do. Was a bit up slow on the uptake there but did improve. On two consecutive plays near the end of the game, he was toasted by a speed rush outside by #55 for a sack on Beathard on the first play. On the next play, #55 tried the same move and Magnuson kept up with him and defeated his rush. Unfortunately interior gave up a sack to Curry.

Over all, on 21 snaps, he had little to do with the play. Either it went away from him or a screen over his head or quick to the outside. Shanahan did not appear to want to put much of a load on him.

On 14 plays, he did a good job.

On 5 plays, his failure to execute contributed solely or in part to the play failing.

Kid showed some promise but still raw. Let's hope the coaches can work some magic this week.

That is respectable considering the guy was a practice squad call-up. Contrast this to what Kilgore has been up to.

He showed noticeable improvement yesterday. His pad level was better at first contact with a defender. That allowed him to use both his strength, which is considerable, plus leverage to hold up at the point of attack.

He may have a future at center but leave him at OT for now. Although Kilgore has been a sieve, at least he has some experience in calling assignments that an inexperienced player does not.
He played well and IMO is part of the future.
Great job at preserving the #1 pick

Welp he's not a C.
Turd Ferguson.
Yea I'm not even gonna get on this guy. He shouldn't be in this position
He's awesome

Another bad roster decision. Wheres our real bckup center.

If it really is magnuson then why call shotgun.

Ps how did he look in practice in the shotgun?
