I don't understand everybody's rage/surprise. He's been on the team multiple years and has always had 50/50 hands.
He's exactly who he was years ago.
Realistically he's a practice squad player that the coaches chose to put in this spot. It's like people getting pissed at Pettis or Goodwin for not being #1s.

Can't even be mad at the guy. He was a UDFA. The fact that we get any production out of him is a positive. Be mad at the guys drafted in front of him who are playing so terribly that we actually have to put him out on the field.
