He has some of the better hands on the 49ers. Shanahan wasn't talking about just the wide receivers, he was talking about the entire team.

I would keep him, it's not like he'll be active on game days anyways, a perfect project to keep developing

27 vs 24 years old., not a huge differenceOriginally posted by CatchMaster80:Originally posted by StubbyNBY:Man it's going to be a tough call on him. If we do lose him I hope we can at least get a pick for him. I would so much rather keep him over Matthews but I don't think that will happen?
Bourne is younger but Mathews has more experience and would probably cost more. It may come down to whether they value youth over experience.

I still don't think he's safe. Unless one of the WRs goes on IR, keeping 7 WRs doesn't make sense.

Not need don't have a red zone target. He's their only big receiver left. They have to keep him.

I forgot they implemented that rule that we can't use our 6'4" all-pro tight end in the red zone.
Dang it.

Keeping 7 WRs doesn't make sense.
Only 5 are up on gameday.
Kyle only uses 2 WRs nearly 50% of the time.
