With the 49ers, Rosen is yet at another early career crossroads. And he could face the end of the road if it's not navigated far better than it was in his first three stops.
"What we saw in college hasn't transferred to the NFL," Warner said. "And it hasn't transferred in a number of places. He's had a number of opportunities and it just doesn't seem to be translating to the NFL game. So you start to wonder, maybe he just doesn't have that skillset."

Well this article bums me out. I hope Kurt Warner is wrong about Josh. But if he's right, and Kyle agrees, then odds now are higher (I think) 49ers will get a QB in the draft, and more likely high in the draft too.
I think this is the salient point from that article.
Warner's assessment: Rosen has struggled largely because of his inability to quickly process information on the field. That is, Rosen has had difficulty working through his progressions — locating his second or third pass-catching option, for example, if his primary option isn't open — and understanding where to deliver the ball based on defensive coverages.
If your QB can't read the field or understand what he is seeing there doesn't seem to be much point in having him back there. Maybe Kyle's system will help him out but chances are he will never be more than a back-up in these league, if that.
