You're right I thought he was our best guy in the preseason and practices as well. Put him and Blair on the edges and Thomas a little more inside

prisoner of the moment. he's playing with a chip on his shoulder, i doubt coaches are scheming against him. lets see how he does 5 games from now. i doubt other 6 teams were just dumb

Watson should get credit for a good game but he has a lot to prove. Remember when Eli went to Detroit and looked like a killer for a few games? He hasn't done s**t in a month now.

I'm not sold on saleh and I don't like a coach costing us wins while learning on the job even in a wasted year.

If you're only looking stats, which you are, good point then.

Sometimes it just clicks for a guy. Lorenzo Alexander had more sacks in his 10th season than his previous 9 combined. Coming into the season I didn't give Watson a shot to make the roster; however, once I saw him play in the preseason it was very obvious that he was pretty nasty as an edge rusher.

Don't be surprised if he keeps playing at a high level. The Raiders are a trainwreck (Gruden is a mess), but the kid is still talented.
