I wouldn't focus on yards allowed. Carroll's D is ranked high in sacks. They stuff the run and focus on manufacturing pressure when the opponent realizes the run isn't working.
We can't ever manufacture pressure to save our lives. We shouldn't have lost to MIA. We only lost that game because Saleh chose the wrong personnel.

Read my post again. It's not just yards allowed but points allowed. They may have sacked the QB more, but they also have had to generate more offense cause they can't keep other teams out of the end zone.
You want to talk about sacks? Why do the Pats have 3 fewer sacks than us? The Chiefs have one fewer than us and the Bears with the best edge in the NFL have only 2 more than us.
I connect that to their atrocious offenses. It's the Alex Smith paradox. To what extent does smart, not good, but smart QB play support the defense?

Obviously not when it counts. We have some top LBs that can handle tough coverage matchups. Not sure why Saleh can't manufacture pressure.
