Kyle is doing things the NFL isn't.
Oh, no one uses a FB regularly? Let's do that.
Oh it's a passing league? Let's not do that.

That Deebo TD Run was some X's and O's porn....how much you wanna bet there's a couple pass plays off of that look and we could already see there was an option pick component to it.

When it comes to the run game, he uses box defenders aggressiveness against them to get them to false step. Then when they start to hesitate and think, "I'm not getting fooled by misdirection", Kyle hits them with a play where they need to react fast or get burned, for example outside zone.

My jaw dropped on that run. One of the most impressive runs Ive ever seen. Carolina had no chance. None. And it was executed to perfection.

That play was football poetry.

This game reminded me of a game in 1992 when the Falcons came into the Stick and their coach Jerry Glanville brought out a 5 foot high trophy and put it on their sideline before the game. They had beaten all the west coast teams the previous year so he figured they were the west coast champs. The Niners took a look at that trophy during the pre game warmups and went out and demolished the Falcons 56-17. I assume that trophy went to the junkyard.

That was the very first 49er game I watched as a young kid. I remember watching the game thinking that this was the coolest team in the league and I've been a fan ever since that game!

What was funny is that the trophy Glanville had made was almost as tall as he was. I don't think the Falcons players were all in on it because they saw the way the Niners players were pointing to it and laughing before the game. All us fans were looking at it wondering what it was for since we hadn't heard that he was claiming to be the west coast champion because they beat all the west coast teams on their schedule the previous year. I think he thought it was going to fire up his players but it fired up the Niners instead. One of my all time enjoyable games at the stick.

It's just beautiful. He's also very committed to the ground game. I posted it earlier in this thread what his pass/run split was (43/57). That's a more run heavy lean than the Harbaugh years. Granted lopsided games will do that but kudos to Kyle for committing to it. I know some thought he may be a little too pass heavy.

Playcaller that day.....Mike Shanahan
Looks like Kyle cloned the Rams IZ counter run for this game... it was perfect for the Panthers D

Mentioned this last week, in a copycat league where everyone zigs, Kyle zags.

What made it so impressive is how all the moving parts just meshed on that play. Sanders in motion, ball snapped, Deebo fills in behind and all the linemen block perfectly. It looked like the inside of a Rolex watch.

THIS is Shanny's offense! THIS is an offense that can play with anyone at any point in the yr.

Currently has a pass/rush ratio of 42.5/57.5. Only time Kyle ran it more than he threw it as a playcaller was '12. Offense scored over 430 points, gained over 6100 total and rushed for over 2700 yards.

Current paces this year:

470+ points
6200+ yards
Almost 2900 rush yards.

Bro.
