Should we really be surprised?

When you get the positions that you do because of your father's accomplishments and respect as opposed to what you've done on your own says a lot

2016 Falcons were and still are a top 10 all time scoring offense in the entire history of the league.

Who was the QB, wide recievers and running backs? Offense was more than loaded. They couldn't score in the 4th quarter of the Super Bowl when it mattered. I'm seeing a trend here with Shanahan.

Who was the architect of that offense? Who drew up the play designs to maximize the talents strengths and minimize their weaknesses? Who taught the players the scheme, coached em up weekly and called the plays on Sundays?

Meanwhile in Denver with a bunch of talent at the skill positions and a FQB and they struggle to both move the ball and score points.

it's just SAD when a rookie clueless HC out coaches the one who's supposed to be The Best Young Mind in Football..

The Best Young Mind in Football is now Mike McDaniel.

I'm done with him. No imagination. Just gimmick plays with a lot of pre-snap motion that ultimately amounts to nothing. His M.O is to score the first points, then sit on it. It's a p***y mentality and you can see it during multiple facets of the game. Whether it's letting your future franchise quarterback run QB sneaks repeatedly into the middle of the defense, whether it's not taking penalties and allowing teams to score bc you're afraid the opposing QB might do something magical on your defense, whether it's punt no matter what game conditions are, whether it's the predictable run run pass punt offense, etc etc.

He needs to go and he can take Lynch with him. I trust Jed to find the next great coach, and a pairing of Sean Payton and Fangio as defensive coordinator sounds appealing going into 2023.
Kyle next year needs to just tear up his playbook and build his offense around Trey and what best suits Trey. Your QB is suppose to be the star of the offense, Not the HC. Now Jimmy is not capable of being the star but you traded 3 1st RD picks for Trey because you feel he has the ceiling to be elite, But you can't get in his way and limit him. He should have Trey slinging it all over the field, Good or bad. I am over this run 1st offense.

we have Deebo, Kittle and Aiyuk.

How much talent does he need In order for his offense to be productive?

People keep throwing Aiyuk's name out like he's some superstar. He's proven to be an above average possession receiver who doesn't fight for the ball in 1v1 situations.

But I do agree with you, we have more than enough talent.

I disagree. He doesn't get the ball thrown to him enough to really judge him. The anemic QB play couples with abysmal play calling is terrible. Put Aiyuk on a good offense with a good QB and he has 1,000 yard seasons every year.

That is all I am.asko g for, a good QB. Kirk Cousins level. We can't even achieve that because our offensive architect is no so smart.

Ehh, I hear fans of every team say that about their middling wide receivers. Aiyuk's a solid receiver who works the backside crossing routes incredibly well, but as a 1v1, "hey, I need you to get that first down" type.. he's not that guy.
Guys, we lost. Okay. Do you not watch Bills games? They lost too. You guys must not watch the NFL.

We certainly can criticize Kyle Shanahan but please everyone, stop talking about Sean Payton.
Bountygate, Alex Smith, Frank Gore.

He's also going to cost draft picks.

I get it. But I think it's the way we lost. Impotent offense with too many mistakes and poor in game coaching on Kyle along with piling up injuries. It's frustrating.

And a QB who isn't and wasn't playing very well. He has to make the right reads, can't blame Kyle for Jimmy missing the reads.
The talking heads in the media today are thrashing Jimmy, basically calling him inept and unintelligent....it's hillarious.

This guy will never be a QB anywhere when San Francisco pulls their heads out and dumps him.

He's also the guy that said Kyle should have been starting Jimmy over Trey. So no I don't want that guy.

Great. They should be calling both Kyle and Jimmy out. Both are inept and holding this team back.

Are they the same media folks that were saying Jimmy gives the 49ers the best chance to win, when compared to Lance? I bet it is.
