I'll be looking to see if AA misses time w/injuries on his new team. Availability is huge.

Great guy and good player... but, the chronic foot problem and he didn't really play up to the last contract (in my opinion). I'm not very surprised at how that went.

Yeah I understand it. I get it sucks and it's not like we are happy about it, but he has been trending down. This is nothing like trading Buckner imo.

Wow, the FO only offered AA a 1 year 6M contract. 8 with incentives. Yeah, I'd test the market too.

Indeed. May not have changed a thing but the FO should have offered larger incentives which made this a more palatable option for AA.

I guess they don't really believe he will consistently be healthy and available for them. Real sucky situation.

Yeah, I too see both sides of it. Funny they ended up signing Malik for 8.5M this year.

This is why I hate the fact that salaries are made public. Every player wants to be paid as much or more than the other guy. It's why salaries have escalated so much in the last few years. Most businesses ask employees not to discuss salaries with other workers. In sports that's not possible. We end up with players saying they want what they deserve.

Players don't deserve anything. They're employees and they get paid what the team can afford. Deserve has nothing to do with it. They're fortunate to be able to play a game and make more money in one season than most people will earn in a lifetime.

What plantation did you come from 😂 Every player has worth and if you can't understand that I don't know what to say 😂 When was the last time you sawJed York taking it in from the three yard line 😂 If you don't have players you don't have a game. Players deserve what ever the market says they deserve.

I doubt whether he came from a plantation. The two of you manage to disagree, which is part of the point of a place like this. He doesn't say that the players are worthless and you really ought to have seen that. This stupid comment about Jed York taking it in from the 3 is just fatuous.

So let's be clear. Players may deserve what they can get from the market. But that has nothing to do with what one specific team can and will pay. Catch said that players get paid what the team can afford, and, within the context of the salary cap, that is true. The team will decide what they can afford for each player bearing in mind his ability and his position. If that is not enough for the player then various options are open to him.

Chill.

This is clearly a Shanahan pick

Dude is so overrated just like Kyle.

I want to see a video of Lynch and Kyle going through the Pearsall pick, like Les Snead and McVay did with Nacua. Seems like another "feels" pick with no clear vision where/how/when to play him.
Horrendous first rounder resume.

Can't argue that.

If there's one thing I trust Shanahan about it's how to play his offensive skill players. Come on now.
