Blaming Lynch for the salary cap situation is ignorant. We would have been fine if it weren't for the cap reduction due to COVID. Impossible to predict this was going to happen.

Stop blaming folks. It is what it is. Still bettoer off then some teams.

Dont use covid as an excuse, the front office should have prepared for it.

They should have let jimmy walk to get a 3rd, not gone after ford keeping the 2nd, and tanked last year so they could get burrow or herbert this year.

They would then have had $60m or so in space this year and next year to build a team when player salary demands are artificially lowered.

Then sign the guys long term on lower contracts so when the cap goes back up you have even more cap space. They missed out, it a was once in a century oppurtunity.

People don't care. They have an axe to grind with whoever our GM and Coach are. So any chance they can take a shot at them they take it.

You also didn't know that Bosa and Jimmy would get hurt along with several other guys. You didn't know that a decision on whether to stay with Jimmy or move on would be happening. In short, they had no way of knowing that they would have a lot of dead weight on the roster.

Lol don"t use an unexpected and unprecedented 25+mil drop in salary cap as an excuse? Ok . How dare they not foresee a pandemic
Tank last year, oh my that's too much

No it is not. I implied but did not specifically say that they should have forsaw burrow and herbert coming out this year back in 2017.

Also that i didnt say taken mahomes or watson that year. An actual mistake they did make.
I wish fans would stop talking about tanking. That's for the fans, not the players. These guys want to win every game. They're fighting every week to keep their job. Even the coaches don't want to lose. They aren't worried about draft picks. The closest thing to tanking in the NFL is when a team has it's playoff spot secured and decides to rest players. Maybe a team that has a shot at the 1st pick might rest a couple guys that have mild injuries but they never go into a game hoping to lose.

Still think 8-8 is the final record. I don't expect a tank at all.
