Lynch shouldnt get much credit for Kittle IMO, he obviously stumbled across him while scouting Kyles boy CJ.

Id give him more credit if Lynch had traded up in the 3rd for Kittle not Beathard. Kittle was not a secret to anyone who follows the draft, his blocking alone had him rated as a 3rd round pick. If he had a solid QB he probably goes in the 1st. Lynch is lucky Kittle fell to the 5th, otherwise the 2017 draft would be complete garbage.

Not sure what the point of this is. 49ers would not have drafted Dwight Clark if they hadn't been checking out his qb, Fuller. So we shouldn't give Walsh any credit for that, then.

Any excuse, I suppose, to try to rubbish Lynch.
Philadelphia Eagles --- latest example of a team that had $15 in cap space left. Just signed Brandon Graham to a 3 year deal.

Fans, "How the hell do all these teams keep all these players?"

Cap is a myth.

I feel better about the Beathard pick now since it apparently bore fruit in the form of the Kittle, thanks for that!

By that logic, Walsh shouldn't get credit for Dwight Clark because he was scouting Steve Fuller at Clemson and Clark was just there to catch passes.

I say this all the time and people push back.

It's all monopoly money. Everybody in the league can do whatever they want, whenever they want.

Any excuse to try and tell people how right he was. He will have bumped his own post 5 times by noon.

Except some can do it without having to cut a bunch of talented players. PHI has some decisions to make soon .

So what? They'll cut dudes who won't ultimately impact their WAR.

Teams cut dudes who are either declining in production, or have a contract that does not fit the projected production. Nobody cuts contracts on ascending players. So, who they cut just doesn't matter. Won't impact their wins/losses.

of course this is the truth. he put the tag on the kicker and his base rolled out the ticker tape parade. he did his job. so what, then of course he went back wards and kept aa and may be on the cusp of keeping ward . i will also bet you that the same people who say we want earl., will suddenly say. well we did not need him if lynch opts not to pursue him in favor of ward and pop tart

Lol I just said why. No kidding ascending players don't get cut, doesn't mean good players don't ever get cut due to a salary cap squeeze. Happens all the time
Lynch direct quote while scouting CJ Beathard "Who's that #46 guy" meanwhile on 49erswebzone.com the average draft head was scouting Kittle and had no idea who CJ Beathard was

This guy is getting credit for drafting Kittle and he didn't even know who he was until scouting Beathard, its a joke.

Big mouth Lynch shouldve just kept his trap shut, there was no need to share that info and make himself look like even more of a novice.

...what's your point? You keep posting the same blather over and over again. He picked him, next.

He deserves credit for Kittle because he picked him higher than anyone else was willing to pick him.

I am more critical of Lynch than most but there is no need to criticize him over Kittle.
