Hey guys...Falcons fan here. I just wanted to congratulate you on making the best coaching hire of the season. I have zero doubt that Kyle Shanahan will be an amazing fit for your organization. He is a soft-spoken genius. All I would ask, is that you give them two years to mold the franchise. His offense is incredibly complex and will take two years for an above average quarterback to fully grasp. Ryan struggled with the concepts in his first year… And unfortunately you don't even have a viable quarterback at the moment. So you need to find one, and then allow 2 to 3 years of growth. After that it will be money in the bank. His offense is very unique and turns good players into very good players. See Gabriel, Hardy & Robinson for example.
I honestly feel that San Francisco will make a strong push to trade their number to pick to Washington for Kurt cousins. Shanahan knows him very well and vice versa. Do that and make a few good off-season acquisitions, and draft well, and you could be in the playoffs as soon as Next year.
Cheers guys...you got a great one.
Thanks for the comments, come on by anytime and good luck in the SB!

but don't fool yourselves, it Hoyer is going in to start - or be expected starter, he's gonna get 10-12 minimum just arent enough QB's in the league. they all get paid
Dude stop...go look back at his past contracts he has NEVER been close to getting $10 million a yr. He was the starter in Houston and got 2 yrs $10 million (with $4.75 million guaranteed)....They don't ALL get paid.

Thanks man! I agree with everything you said as far as giving him time...don't agree with trading for Kirk though
I'd rather he get his own guy in the draft and develop him.
Good luck this weekend

Welcome, and good post.
I too think Cousins can be had for not much more than our second overall. Whether that and the high contract he will get vs. someone on his first contract is the best way to go, I will leave entirely up to Kyle in consultation with the GM, and will back their decision either way.
I' m pulling for you Sunday and beyond. From the perocial perspective, i think it would be more beneficial to get our GB preferred GM on the job sooner than being in a hurry to get Kyle on the job. Also, our rediculous history notwithstanding, our management might be more patient with a former Super Bowl winner.
Go Falcons!

Any Atlanta offensive players in FA Kyle should try to get in 2017?

Agree! Thanks for the opinions/info and welcome! Also agree that trading the #2 pick would be a mistake unless we also received their first round pick--#17. If Cousins is his guy and he really wants him...OK, whatever.
