yep, small hands, lack of seperation. makes sense thats what made him a 6th round pick. he looks good though.
Very solid pick. We could have taken him in the 4th rd and I would have been happy. Could be a really contributor in the slot in Chip's offense. Nice pick
Get this kid in space, isolate him. He wins contested balls. Chip can find lanes for this guy to get some YAC.
Connor Cook's go to WR.

he is able to find soft spots in zone and wins contested balls. perfect WR against Seattle.

solid pick in the 6th round for sure. CBS had him as a late 4th round pick. Great with timing routes and he runs the middle of the field. He's got short-area quickness. His measurables are lacking for sure and a reason he dropped. Seems like a hard worker and has the single season record for catches in MSU history with 85.

He's like a young version of an old slow Boldin who fights for every catch cuz he can't get separation. I think.

He ran a 4.49 at his pro-day (take that for what it is) which would have been top 10 at the combine. He is strong (20 reps 1st at combine).

I wouldn't call him Boldin though NFL comps him to Jason Avant which I think is a fair comp.

Pretty much
His bread and butter is in fighting for the ball.
IIRC, he had some clutch catches in that MSU vs. Iowa playoff game.

If he fights for balls (due to lack of separation) and wins, get him isolated in 1-on-1 situations. In Chip Kelly's spread, there should be some good YAC to be had with the lanes his offense creates.

This attribute is most useful in the slot where one will almost always fight for the ball.
