Ronald Blair-DE-Appalachian State-142nd Overall Pick

Cool take on his draft day. Was rated as a 3rd round pick.
Really love this kid. But I wouldn't be surprised if we moved on from him this offseason. We probably bring in 2-3 new edge rushers and with Buckner, Armstead, Jones, Day, Thomas already it might be a numbers game. I hope I'm wrong though.
he is playing his butt off... i hope we retain him..

Also not to mention street coming back. How many more DL can we keep?

We have a handful we'd get rid of long before Blair.

You don't cut a edge rusher on his rookie contract who got 5.5 sacks/3 TFL in 13 games.
Unless he is caught on tape doing stuff the NFL pretends to care about.

Nah dude, they move on from AA and Day before they move on from Thomas and Blair imo.
Blair, Street, AA, Solomon, and Julian Taylor. Who sticks?

Out of all them, with Thomas' being a first round pick, we could get the most out of a trade for him but would we do it? AA might fetch something similar but he's produced more than Thomas.

I'd take blair over all of them, easily. I really dont think we'd notice a difference if we lost AA or Thomas. Keep Taylor to develop.

I think they try to trade one of them.

I hope we keep Blair - really plays w/some pizazz.
Nevermind, wrong thread.

I think there's a good chance they all stick except Julian Taylor. We need to see more from him. Street, of course, needs to prove he's healthy next season. Marsh and Watson are on the outside looking in. Their spots should be replaced.

Blair is having a great year. I think they should have him 100% commit to being an edge player next season and get his body right. He said he was around 275 lbs in the offseason. There's clearly some pounds there to be shed.

Top 50 in sacks on the year yet only sees the field about 20 to 25 percent of the snaps

Actually he is up to 45% but still behind Thomas, AA and the Karate kid.
