Offensive line played well. What are you talking about. We were some bs calls away from winning number 6. We need to do whatever we can no matter the money to win next season. We have no choice but to win.

Calling out the Oline or the depth is just his thing.

Run blocking. Pass protection has always been the issue. Do you disagree? I tried to warn you.

Jus and Kittle make the line look better in the run game than they really are. Pass protection could definitely improve. McGlinchey should improve with pass protection over time, he is still young. Staley gave everything he had but isn't getting younger either. Of all areas of the team, this was the biggest concern at the beginning of the year and scheming kind of masked it.
Yes, esp. the bold.

And I completely reject the notion that you don't need premium interior players on the OL. We will continue to see premium interior players on D and we're going to need to match them for forget about passing significantly.
This oline does great with the run scheme but blows in pass protection. Has been the issue for quite a while.

What people aren't talking about: Shanahan felt compelled to keep Kittle in to pass protect to help the guards on interior. He did a great job, but the 49ers had to give up their top receiving weapon on 3rd-and-10, which is never ideal. What's the next step in building this O? https://t.co/PhkpAf1YIy

I haven't evaluated any of the interior OL prospects in the upcoming draft, but using our first-round pick on a Travis Frederick/Alex Mack-type center would be a good idea.
I'll say this tho: The OL played good enough to win yesterday. Anyone arguing otherwise is dumb, blind or both. The tape doesn't lie. Opportunities were left on the field.

Jimmy Garoppolo's pressure splits in the Super Bowl were wild af (per PFF)
— Michael Kist (@MichaelKistNFL) February 3, 2020
Kept Clean: 19/22 (86.4%), 199 yards, 1 TD, 0 INT, 119.5 QB Rating
Under Pressure: 1/9 (11.1%), 20 yards, 0 TD, 2 INT, 0.0 QB Rating
Chiefs applied very effective pressure to Garoppolo yesterday. Per PFF, he went from 9 yards per att with no pressure to only 2.2 yards per att under pressure (11 drop-backs). KC's rush hit at the right times and it's hard not to draw parallels between Jones/Jarrett/Donald

Spags got aggressive and Saleh got ultra conservative when it mattered most.
