Andrew Luck isn't worthy?

The Hall Of Above Average strikes again. Zach Thomas, for real? The voting here has gotten as watered down as the rest of the NFL "product".

Thomas was a stud.

P Willy will keep getting snubbed because he only played like 8 seasons at a position that has historical longevity.
I expect him to get in next year. It's not shaping up to be a great class for first year eligibles so he should be joining BY and the rest soon.

I'm super surprised that he was snubbed again. When playing, he was probably one of the most dominant linebackers of his generation, him and Luke.

I think he deserves it, he was at the top of his game while he played and he played long enough to qualify. I'm thinking the snub has to be due to the fact maybe many believe he retired pre-maturely?

Turf toe is hard to recover from and he had to consider his quality of life. I respect him retiring but I also wish he woulda played more.

His short career + East coast bias is a hard double whammy to overcome.
Same horse s**t different year, HOF voting has some absolute b******t biased against Niners for some reason.

Calvin Johnson had almost the same length of career with 2 fewer All-Pro selections and he went in 1st ballot.

Definitely nah....

Seems like the Hall letting anyone in nowadays. I thought the Hall was for legendary people only. Luck was good, not legendary though. P Willy was legendary when he played IMO. He needed to suck it up and play ten years.

Edit grammar

The HOF is a joke. IMO you shouldn't even say the names Deion Sanders and Darelle Revis in the same breath. Yes, Revis was a great corner. One of the best, if not the best, of his era. But Deion was a shut down machine that eliminated half the field. That's HOF worthy material.

It has become a watered down version where above average players can get in. Does Patrick Willis belong ? Hells yea he does if guys like Zach Thomas qualify. But if it was a real "club" for the all time greats, Willis does not even come close…

Not sure if you're being sarcastic. But no, he's not worthy of the Hall of Fame, and especially not on the first ballot.

It feels like your argument implies only the very best players of all time at each position deserve to be in the HoF.

Revis, Willis, Thomas, were all dominant defenders. 1st team all pros for half a decade and members of all decade teams. Calling them above average is comically underselling them.

Agreed. I think if your arguably the best of your generation you belong in the Hall. Luck was not. Willis was close, him and Luke but I think the writers think he's soft because of the turf toe retirement.
Scrubbed again maybe nxt year
