Johnson has taken more snaps at CB than Verrett this year, has practiced more with us since the off-season, and has more experience in our scheme going back to 2017. Verrett is still rehabbing, basically, and would cost us an IR spot, plus he doesn't play special teams.

I think all things considered, it made the most sense to sign DJ over JV.

We've already gone through all 8 OL plus Toilolo and 3.5 of our 4 ER's. I would have preferred personnel moves here.

I mean most teams are pretty beat up this time of year, but man what we could be right now if we still had some of the starters playing?

Losing center could be tough.

Let's hope he doesn't actually have to play much and let's hope the pass rush does their job so DJ if he plays actually looks good.
