For those of you who don't remember Buck Shaw check out http://www.pro-football-reference.com/coaches/ShawLa0.htm
Niner record of 71-39-4. then fired for no championships. Check this out http://news.google.com/newspapers?nid=2245&dat=19541214&id=Q4ozAAAAIBAJ&sjid=--4HAAAAIBAJ&pg=2820,1501272
Monte Clark turned the Niners from losers to winners in 1976 with a 8-6 record then fired for no good reason.
Steve Mariucci 57-39 fired because not on same page as management. http://www.sfgate.com/sports/article/York-explains-break-with-Mariucci-49ers-owner-2660652.php
Jim Harbaugh fired because of Mike Florio and Tim Kawakami. Just Kidding
I personally was really pissed when Monte Clark was fired but Buck Shaw was probably the worst firing because he took a Philadelphia eagles team that was 2-9-1 in 1959 to the nfl championship winner in 1961 as head coach

For anyone old enough to remember, the Monte Clark firing was worse than Mariucci.

I'd say it's Mariucci...because immediately after he was fired, the team spiralled downward. He's so good w/QB's, his departure really cost the team a lot. History has shown the management who fired him were the culprits, not SM.

Have to agree, it was the perfect storm. Salary cap issues, poor management, and egos galore. Kinda like the Cowboys now.

How does harbaugh only has 17% of the vote?? We went from a 6-10 team to 3 straight NFC title games and a super bowl under harbaugh.
