You mean you don't think we should cut Andy Lee and you don't blame the coaching staff for Dawson's kickoff not going out of the back of the end zone?

Which member of the coaching staff didn't kick it out of the back of the end zone?
LOL. Gotta be Roman's fault. Ha

Special teams fault? Were you up getting beers and missed the 3 4th quarter turnovers?

what sunk us was that stupid free play when our guys jumped offsides and wilson got a free TD pass out of it. our guys stopped when they saw the flag for a sec and seattle didnt. that was the game changer

all that could be solved by signing a kicker with a monster leg who could kick the ball out the end zone every time.

The coverage unit has been good to great all season, but things happen. I can think of at LEAST five other plays that had a bigger impact on the outcome of this game.

I would say the common theme to our last 3 playoff losses was offense:
2012 - Alex Smith couldn't move the ball in a tie game. 49ers punt. NY punts. We muff the punt and NY wins.
2013 - Kaep couldn't score from inside the 10 against Baltimore
2014 - You could pick any of the final drives that resulted in a turnover, however the most memorable it the Sherman INT to ice the game.
If the offense marches down the field, then we either win, or in the case of 2013 had a chance for our defense to stop a final drive by Baltimore.

At the end of the day Kap blew it. I have to put blame on Roman. 2011 ranked 30th in passing, 2012 23rd, 2013 31st. For as good as he is with the run game he is equally as bad in the pass game. Not saying he is a bad coach but I saw no progress in any aspect of our wide receivers. I hope he gets Browns job. The play calling during the Giants NFC championship we had ball late in the game and went 3 and out or one first down and punt. The last 3 plays of the Super Bowl, and yesterday with 55 seconds and 3 time outs and Hawks playing prevent no runs and calls a play that puts Crabtree in the endzone. Kap didn't have to make the throw and shouldn't have. Davis should have stretched the field and Crab should of crossed especially with his ability after the catch. Not a coach don't claim to be but why take a one point lead with 55 seconds left and give Seattle a chance to kick a FG.

It all comes back to the QB, when crunch time comes will he continue to make the same mistakes? Three turnovers in one quarter shows an inability to adjust to the pressure. I guess the only answer is let's see what happens the next time.

Can we draft a real punt returner?
