On offense I think Alex Boone has really become an under appreciated part of the offensive line. When you don't hear an olineman's name being called they are doing their job and doing it well. Crabtree's work to come back from his injury has been outstanding. Its fun watching him get his "legs under him" a little more each week. The offense seems to grow week by week. The player on offense I would like to have surprise me soon is Vance McDonald.
On defense Tony Jerod-Eddie has been solid when pressed into action. Again, if he isn't standing out, he is doing his job. Tramaine Brock is putting together a great season and one can only imagine how many picks he would have if he had started 16 games. Eric Reid is having a very fine rookie year and should be leading the team in picks. He seem to usually be where he is supposed to be but has had some lapses. I feel confident in saying that he is a future pro bowler. Dan Skuta surprised when he was pressed into a starting role. I didn't expect Glenn Dorsey to be this effective at the nose but he just gets it done. If I was going to list one person I would like to see improve on defense its Aldon. He has shown much more maturity since his rehab stint and seems to give more effort play in and play out but I still think he can give more. He also quick all of the silly look at me celebration after making a play. I like that.
On special teams I have a few as well. Dawson hasn't missed since I can remember and was pro bowl worthy. LaMike has done a great job since taking over for Kyle Williams, sporting good to great return averages on punt and kick return, plus he doesn't field punts inside the 10 which is a pet peeve of mine that K-Will seemed to do all of the time. When the team signed Bubba Ventrone I had no clue who the guy was, but as Harbs mentioned he hustles and makes plays play in and play out. Will never be more than and spec teamer but he is very good at hustle and that makes it in the NFL.
P.S.- I cant recall Andy Lee ever screwing up. Damn that guy is good.
Coaches- My only surprise is that Harbaugh still lets Roman call plays. I think the team would be much more successful if the guy would wake up and realize that reliable plays get the job done and cute/cheap plays only make you look like a genius if they work. Otherwise you look like a stupid, risk taking fool who wants to be the smartest guy in the coaches box. Stop trying to be "that guy" and you will get your head coaching gig in a few more weeks.

Here are my Top Three from Offense, Defense, and Special teams:
Offense:
1. Bruce Miller: The unsung hero of the offense. Opens holes for Gore/Kaepernick, great pass outlet, and great in pass protection. Unfortunately, his injury will be rough on our offense, but hopefully Harbaugh/Roman can figure something out.
2. Anquain Boldin: Pretty much our only WR, yet constantly showed up to play and was the consumate pro, never complaining and ALWAYS leading by example. He needs to get resigned ASAP!!!!
3. Alex Boone/Adam Snyder: No disrespect meant to the OL, but both have equally filled in when needed, either at both G and LT positions. Can never have too many good OL
Honorable Mention: Frank Gore (Pro Bowler @ 30yrs old, guy is just straight up NASTY! Closing in on 10K career-wise, enough said) and Michael Crabtree (Comes back from Achillies injury and shows that he is a true #1 WR and is Kaepernick go-to guy)
Defense:
1. Traimane Brock: Guy beats out Nnadmi for the nickel spot, thrives, steps up for Brown when he gets hurt, and is so good gets 4 year contract extension. Undrafted and having to make the team on the last day of cuts, just goes to show how awesome he truly is...
2. Tony Jerod-Eddie: Ian Williams out for year, Dorsey hurt, MacDonald hurt, and Smith needing rest, Eddie stepped up and showed not only effectiveness at DE, but was versatile across the line at DE, NT, and even DT in the Nickel. Was truly a lifesaver when we needed it most.
3. Ahmad Brooks: Constantly overshadowed for years, all he does is just produce consistently and effectively every year. One of my favorite players to wear the Niner jersey (only flaw is he can't seem to sack Russell Wilson, but we can leave that to Aldon).
Honorable Mention: Navarro Bowman (Pro Bowler who just seems to get better every year...and we have him next to P-Willy for the next 4-5 years!!!), Eric Reid (stepped in from Day One, replaced a Pro Bowler, and all he has done is play like a veteran FS), and Donte Whitner (stepped up his game, and shockingly I think he's more of a Pro Bowler now than last season)
Special Teams:
1. Kassim Osgood: Yes, he screwed up @ NO, but has been EXTREMELY excellent at every other facet of Special Teams.
2. Phil Dawson: Consistent FG kicker = AMAZING!!!!!
3. CJ Spillman: Best ST in the NFL. Enough said...
Honorable Mention: Andy Lee (Best punter in NFL)

Reid- I expected good things form him coming out of LSU, but did not expect for him to come on so fast and damn near play like a vet.
Hitner- I trolled this cat about his coverage skills on IG so much that he just said f**k it and blocked me. I'm happy to see him step his game up and not become such a liability in the passing game.
Bowman- Just keeps getting better and better...
Boone- Can play guard or tackle, is one tough sob and a steal of a draft pick.

Eric Reid has done a great job with the exception of Monday night's game. Let's hope it was just a flub.
I think we can all agree that Anquan Boldin is a must-keep. He is the reason our offense can even click.
Michael Crabtree has certainly made a positive impact since his return.
Those are the three that have probably impressed me the most. That's not to say that there are a lot of stars on our team putting on outstanding performances!

I would like to say Dawson but 2 things scare me with that Remember in 2011 D Akers was THE guy and even start up of 2012 he kicks the 63 yd FG against the Packers and then we were like where did Akers go?
The Guy I tip mjy hat to and I HOPE they resign him is A Boldin... I want to see a full season of him & Crabtree together then you toss in V Davis that has to become a nightmare to DCs ohhhh yeah then toss in some F Gore in the Mix.

He play on the field has been excellent.
He fought his demons and he has taken control of his life.
He is funny and down to earth.
Truly an impressive specimen of humanity--not just a football player.

our rookie long snapper.,,. when we dumped jennings i was pretty sure we would be calling him back cuz i did not trust the kid for such an important job. i really do not think the kid has messed up one snap. i am pretty sure the zone would have been frothing at the mouth had we messed up but i think he has been pretty flawless. dawson and lee do nothing wrong and i am just so happy the team fixed special teams this year

Boldin & Brooks [sounds like a law firm]
Unsung starts IMO, Bruce Miller, Dawson, Special Teams
