I agree with every single one of the OP's post but it does come off as whiny. But the OP aint lying.

You forgot the main friggin point:
Why do we only play like we should when we are trailing?

Haven't we been saying this about Gore for pretty much his entire career? :)
The dude is so old, he couldn't finished his run to the end zone for a TD. He ran out of gas and went down on his own in bound. Should trade him for Calvin Johnson before it gets worse.

^^^ so sorry guys if this came off wrong. I had to hurry up and write down as many bullet points as poissible given we seem to see these same issues against quality team en route to the playoffs. Now let's focus on the great win. Bottom line: Hawks are 0-5 against us at home and 2-0 at their own house. We held serve. And now with a relatively healthy, Crabtree and Manningham back, Boldin and VD kicking ass, with Gore/Hunter/Miller and our defense, we CAN not only go to Seattle but cause a full implosion there with their classless players and fans!

Our offense will need to improve to win on the road, especially if we end up in Seattle. I still can't quite figure out if it is issues with our offensive playcalling or Kaepernick, or maybe just a combination of both. Our defense is definitely good enough to hold up their end of the bargain. We could use some improvement on ST as well.

LOL...you know me g. Rarely have we even seen Gore on a big run this year so was merely bringing up this (obvious) point in that it may be time to start seeing the transition more and more to Hunter, James and Lattimore in the near future. He is STILL the heart and soul of this team. But if his quickness into the holes (i.e. getting tackled from behind the LOS before he gets started) is starting to affect the timing of run blocking, this could become a big issue in the playoffs against a stacked box and quality DL. Just say'n. We have the weapons to combat this AND give Gore some breathers to keep him fressher/quicker late in games.

2006 Frank would've taken that bad boy to the house. Old Frank prolly would've looked off his pursuer's maybe once or twice, it felt like he was taken a glance backwards so much during the end of that run, he might as well have been running whilst looking backwards.
But, those cuts he pulled were vintage #21

Frank, is that you? We love you man! And that cut WAS epic BTW! You're still the man when we need you most (except in Superbowls when we have 7 yards to go).

I don't believe so! We BADLY need a short and deep passing game focus. It "seems" like our entire passing offense is intermediate only.

Throwing it short and to the inside was a basic no, no qb 101. To Kaep's credit, he did came back for some strong, beautiful passes after that.
This....

Excellent post and please keep doing them after the rest of our games.
Yeah - I'm elated we beat those guys BUT it shouldn't have been this close.
Here's my take - agree w/you on the refs but this was the only Seattle game where I saw them get flagged at all for interference. Agree we need to do the same.
Our Red Zone performance SUCKS!!! This game wouldn't have been even close if we scored TD's there.
I can understand our DLine getting pushed back a bit in this game. Hawks had all their first string in and they are good football players.
Rogers is just about done and Wright has shown up better in every game. After the season - adios Carlos!

yea we can't be settling for FGs when we go up to Seattle, we need to make those TDs to win in seattle. i know seattle rotates a lot on defense, perhaps bring back some hurry up offense?
