I think we have a legitimate shot at winning the rest of the games left on our schedule. Better yet, I'm even expecting it because our coaches seem to have found their groove and Kap along with the rest of our team is getting healthier. The only tough games I see coming up are carolina, shehawks, and saints. I'm not worried about carolina because we have home field advantage. Same thing with shehawks. Plus they seem to be a Terrible team on the road and have struggled against some very inferior teams. Saints might prove worrisome but they loss to the jets today so they aren't invincible. What do you think?

I think we have the ability but you know this is the NFL. Any given sunday. We definitely need to do it to win the division.

We'll end 13-3, tying the Seahawks' record, but winning the tie breaker.
Seattle is one and done in the playoffs.

this. we may drop one random game down the line. id rather they drop one and have a wake up game before the playoffs. seahawks are toast in the playoffs. they look like their ship is taking on water right now, only a matter of time before they sink

Washington too with that running game, if they play smart, they have a puncher's chance. I'm not too convinced about Tampa Bay, they came out amped up, played the game of the season in the first half and still lost. Don't see them being able to put that sort of effort up against the 49ers, they're going to struggle to tread water the rest of the way out here.
Carolina, New Orleans, Seattle and Washington are the toughest games I see left. Not that Arizona, Tampa Bay, the Rams or Atlanta are going to be pushovers, but those are all highly winnable games if the 49ers play smart and stick to their principles.

That's a long trip and what if it happened to be an interm's 1st game? Players get extra fired up to play for a new coach those first few games. That being said not sure Schiano makes it that long. Let's say he is gone now they could be hitting a little bit of stride by that time. Also, I didn't focus in on Mike James enough but the little I saw he is the kind of back that gives us fits. Not going out on a limb here but I'll say there isn't one game the rest of the way I think we can't win but at the same not 1 I would say is a lock to win. The Rams, Cardinals, Bucs, Flacons won't roll over and die on us. Teams with nothing to lose are dangerous.

Can we please STOP underestimating the 49ers? I'm sorry, but there are WAY too many Debbie Downers as fans, especially the guys who do the pod casting on this site, always looking for reasons why this team won't win. There's no reason we cannot run the table. We'll beat Seattle at The Stick; they won't beat us 3 straight times and any fan who thinks that is smoking something. We're built to beat teams like the Saints (every time we play these high powered offenses we win)! We have the personnel to do worse to them than the Jets did. The Jets REALLY exposed them. The Panthers, Bucks, and Skins DON'T match-up well against us AT ALL! In fact, by position and personnel, the mach-up is terrible for those teams. And I doubt Seattle win's out. They aren't gonna be a one loss team and anyone who thinks they will is giving them way too much credit. If people aren't paying attention teams are playing them a lot tougher as the season progresses, home and away. The more they put on film the harder wins are getting for them. And mark my words, come Dec. 8 there's gonna be a reckoning that's gonna change people's minds about Seattle.
I'm so tires of people finding ways and reasons we cannot run the table or wind the division. Unlike the guys on the pod cast, I think getting Wright, Manningham, Aldon, Moody, et al, is gonna be a HUGE lift for this team. It seems to me that there are more reasons to say that we'll run the table than not. There are more reasons to be more positive than negative.
So all you people/fans out there finding reasons we won't/can't win the division: just stay tuned. . . . . . . . .

We are not underestimating the 49ers, you are overestimating them. It is hard to win games in the NFL. Going 8-0 to close the season is rarely done. Can the 49ers do it? Sure, but forgive me if I don't think it is a given.

I'd like to say yes......the carolina game could be a tough one, they have a stubborn defense and always get up for us ....plus the saints will want paybacks after we have beaten them the last two times ...but I know it's quiet possible nothing could stop the "pain train" once it's starts chugging

Carolina is a sleeper. We'll need to be on our toes.
The only other game we could lose is the Saints game.
I think everyone will view the Seattle game as a MUST win game.
