Ok....NOW releasing BJ makes no f**king sense whatsoever. Obviously the team was not as high on Daniels as we were. I will have to respectfully disagree. Oh well.

It would be nice if the WR issue was addressed through FA.............
Go 9ers......
good point.. the wide receivers are not cutting it and yet a single move has not been made to address this situation... and yet here they are shuffling 3rd stringer QB, who will most likely never step on the field or even suit up... strange!

How the hell is it frustrating? Is kap in danger of being benched? It was a project QB, Daniels played great, against players out of the league now. It's called preseason for a reason. young guys look great, end up being s**t when time comes. Maybe he didnt show enough in practice. But 2 good games against 3rd and 4th stringers, doesnt say QB in The NFL or Future.
Kap isnt playing like Schaub, and he didnt get benched for this week. And Kap has little money being earned. He wasn't gonna get benched, thus Daniels would never see the field.

LOL. Respectfully disagree with the people who were seeing him on the field on a daily basis? Why? Because you were impressed by some preseason performances against other scrubs?

Yes exactly. I've always given the FO the benefit of the doubt, because like you said, they're the ones scouting the players on an every day basis. But I expect Daniels to be a better player than Bethel-Thompson. I don't see anything wrong with expecting that. Won't be the first time a NFL front office was wrong, and the fans were right. It happens. Doesn't mean I don't trust the FO. Just disagree with this move.

These things did not happen in a straight sequence at the same time. Last year they felt that Scott Tolzien may have greater potential, so they kept him around. This year they probably saw that Tolzien had hit a ceiling or that he wasn't going to offer much in terms of improvement, so they cut him. Then it's just who they think is more valuable from those QBs that are available. We are talking about the 3RD STRING QB here. In the big picture it doesn't matter all that much. I'm pretty sure we can move on from this and live our lives normally.

When the fans are "right" it's usually just coincidence, or luck. The fans have no basis to make their determinations. I'm not saying you can't have a personal preference in terms of players; I just thought it was funny when you said you "respectfully disagree" because it sounds as if you and Harbaugh both have access to the same information and you are coming to a different conclusion.

I laughed a couple of weeks ago when they released BJ to sign Skelton. Not really laughing this time. Not upset but if you're going to sign a 3rd QB don't you want him on your roster to learn? Otherwise forget about having a 3rd QB IMO. The roundabout game is confusing.
Also, how does the 3rd QB always generate so much interest around here. It's bizarre, lol.

cant believe we got rid of someone who will never play and then signed someone who will never play just to release him and then get yet another player who will never play

You're reading too much into my "respectfully disagree" comment dude. Don't take it so seriously.
True, the fans don't have anywhere near the access to info like Harbaugh and FO do. Doesn't mean we can't form our own opinions. Even the paid professionals get it horribly wrong sometimes. Balmer and Jenkins were terrible picks, and the fans knew it from the get go. Other picks the fans hated, but the FO got right (Aldon, Kap, Culliver, Miller). It happens.
It's wrong to think the FO always knows best, because sometimes they don't. It's not the science they make it out be IMO. They're still throwing darts at the board hoping to hit a bulls-eye.
