I agree he doesn't look 100% but at the same time we desperately need him. I rather have a 60% healthy Davis then celek in there all game

Davis is a must. But they can do more to work McDonald into the offense.

I'm worried that hammy will flare up again. If we can give him a couple of quarter off it would do him good for the long haul. If we get into some blowout, it's a good opportunity to give him some rest.

He clearly is not ok. And the problem w/ hamstring related injuries is that they can linger for a long time if they're continually stressed. It also depends on what is the strain grade. I dont think I've seen that anywhere. If hamstring injuries linger, you cannot play at full speed. VD's primary advantage is mis-matches due to speed. If you dont get that, he and the team are quite limited.
The schedule has given us a breather. We should take advantage of it and shelf him for the next few weeks. Force Kap (who doesnt know how to throw to people he doesnt trust) to build some comfort w/ McDonald.

Our injury depleted offense needs VD. But at what expense. If he further injures it and can't play, was that worth the one or two games he could have used to completely heal it? Glad I'm not making the decision.

Not going to happen, especially if Crabtree and Manningham's return don't happen as projected. Other than Q, Davis is really Kap's only go to guy.

He has to play right now or we are doomed on offense. He affects the passing game even when he stays in to block. The coaching staff has used his skills sparingly the last few weeks, and only in critical situations. In other words he is being used in a way that puts far less pressure on his hammy. For AZ and TN this will need to continue. Resting him for Jacksonville would be fine though.

Agree. Send McDonald on those routes & save Vernon to get healthy.

Sit him up and play him if we need him.
Agree /w AB - we only have 2 receivers - Boldin and VD. Well, actually 2.5 - Miller seems to be getting more passes than the other WR's

This is the unfortunate truth. We need him out there. Maybe we can rest a few guys for the Jags game and we have a bye right after that.

Play him, but play him sparingly. If we got the lead, sit him and give his reps to McDonald. He should be full strength come the bye.

Juicy, we should be able to do it once we establish a lead.
