Gray seems like a safe PS candidate. UDFA switching from QB/WR to TE. He needs development and a team would have to give up a roster spot for a project.

I have been paying attention to him every time he has been on the field......he seemed to be doing a pretty good job blocking (at least run blocking, don't remember us having him stay in)...also blocking down field.

but pass blocking is very important for our TEs...so if Celek is much better there, then I can understand.

Ok so we are at 53 without marecic. so when he officially signs we have to cut 1 guy. when dobbs is back have to cut another. So one guy will be gone real soon since marecic probably signs by tonight or tomorrow. then after week 1 another guy will be gone. so TJE, Tukuafu, Stupar and Ventrone... 1 will be gone by tomorrow most likely and the other after week 1.

Ventrone gone, Stupar or Wilhoite gone.

I'm reading of cuts around the league, and one name that sticks out is Courtney Roby. Was a special teams captain and can have blazing speed. Would be a great addition strictly for our special teams.

Stupar. Wilhoite is pretty clearly established as the #3 ILB.

I think Wilhoite, Moody and Stupar all played well enough to earn a spot. However, I think it will be Wilhoite #3 ILB, Moody #4 ILB. I think if we would sign Marecic Stupar or Ventrone will go. We will likely need Tukuafu and TJE for game 1 since Dobbs is out. Then when he comes back either TJE or Tukuafu will be gone and Dobbs will be the 5th DL. Dorsey 4th, Dobbs 5th, TJE or Tukuafu 6th.

As for Ventrone didn't see him play that much.... hardly noticed him at S or on ST. Seen Thomas make a few ST plays, seen Robinson out there... not much Ventrone. Just not sure how he earned a spot other than previous reputation and practice. Maybe Seely's say so helped. Not sure if he will stick around though.

Seen that but problem is he doesn't offer anything at WR? If he can't produce in the Saints offense he won't produce here. We aren't big on guys that are ST only.
