He's been that all along. You can't entrust a 7th round rookie to be your primary backup.

Not only that. But Daniels has been playing against guys who won't be in the league. I'm just hoping we can keep him (Daniels) on the practice squad and no one else signs him to be their number 3. I like the idea of CK, McCoy, and Wallace as our 3 QBs.

This. If the 49ers want to keep Daniels, they'll have to keep him on the roster, no chance he makes it to the practice squad IMO.
