1. The Colin Kaepernick-Vernon Davis connection – Kaepernick threw five times to Davis and Davis caught all five passes for roughly 100 yards. Davis was wide open most of the time.
He burned Donte Whitner repeatedly.

Vernon is definetly going to be Kap's safety valve this year. Vernon is going to have a monster year.

The Cohn's are both trash.
But the observation regarding Whitner isn't surprising and frankly makes me nervous.

Hopefully that's just a sign that he'll be burning a lot of the other safeties that try to cover him as well. If Alex to VD was a lethal combo then Colin to VD can be even more so. Finding Vernon consistently should just be standard operating procedure.

It's not surprising that he burned Whitner. Is there any strong safety in the NFL who can run with Davis? There may be a couple free safeties who can.

well, vernon is pretty fast and would burn any safety in the league.

Good sign but Whitner getting burned is a major concern. This is why I wanted to draft 2 safeties.
