With how stacked our team is and our high amount of draft picks, I think that PS would get pilfered by the rest of the league. The staff is high on Moody, he may push Fleming and his 1.5 knees off this roster.

It will be interesting to see if previously injured guys are replaced by healthy guys. One thing that can kill a team is for recurring injuries to mount after the final cut-down. As you point out, the 9ers will lose several PS players. Sometimes it's better to have a steady workhorse rather than a racehorse.
Been trying to put this off, but can't. So here's mine, condensed version.

QB- Kaepernick, McCoy, Daniels

RB/FB- Gore, Miller, James, Hunter

WR- Boldin, Manningham(I think he will be ready), Williams, Jenkins, Patton, Osgood(After week 1, so his salary isn't guaranteed)

TE- Vernon, Vance, Celek, Gray(H-Back)

OL- Goodwin, Kilgore, Looney, Snyder, Staley, Iupati, Boone, Davis

DL- Smith, Dorsey, Williams, McDonald, Tank, Dial

LB- Bowman, Willis, Skuta, Moody, Aldon, Brooks, Lemonier, Haralson

CB- Rogers, Brown, Nnamdi, Culliver, Cox

S- Whitner, Reid, Spillman, Dahl, Ventrone

ST- Jennings, Lee, Dawson

The last spot is between Bykowski, Tukuafu or Cooper I don't see a reason for 6 CBs on the roster when only 5 would suit up.

My inactives, Looney, Dial, Gray, on of the WRs(either Jenkins or Patton), the 53rd spot, and Daniels, and last one would be between Ventrone and Cox for STs, would have to see in practice who is the better ST player. Right now I go Ventrone, he is proven more so then Cox.
AB... No Brock?
QB- Kaepernick, McCoy Team only carries two qb's. Daniels is on PS and can be called up at anytimes.

RB/FB- Gore, Miller, James, Hunter

WR- Boldin, Manningham(I think he will be ready), Williams, Jenkins, Patton, Osgood(After week 1, so his salary isn't guaranteed)

TE- Vernon, Vance, Celek

OL-LT-Staley/Snyder

Goodwin, Kilgore, Looney, Snyder, Staley, Iupati, Boone, Davis

DL- Smith, Dorsey, Williams, McDonald, Tank, Dial LB- Bowman, Willis, Skuta, Moody, Aldon, Brooks, Lemonier, Haralson CB- Rogers, Brown, Nnamdi, Culliver, Cox S- Whitner, Reid, Spillman, Dahl, Ventrone ST- Jennings, Lee, Dawson

No love for Fleming? He may be a better athlete for ST than some of the typical STs guys--Skota and Moody.

I like Fleming. When we drafted him, I thought he could be a better fit at ILB. The team is now working him there, where he'll have a better shot at making the team competing with Wilhoite and Moody.

Bowman was an OLB going into the draft and now is one of the best ilb on the team. I say if Fleming is better and can learn both positions, why not?

I like AB! Ventrone over Robinson and Thomas, interesting. Yeah I think ST is going to play a big part with the back end of he 53.

Also, I was back and forth about our DL, while I think we can survive with Smith, Dorsey, Williams, McDonald in a bit of a rotation. I think the biggest question mark will be if Tank and Dial can get healthy. If Dial can play all 3 spots and stack up on short yardage packages, it will give Tank a shot to be a pass rush specialist like Aldon 2011. Gotta get those two healthy early to see what we have.

Poor poor Jennings

Also, I really hope one of the young guys beats out Snyder. He may be able to play anywhere on the line, but a piece of crap smells bad no matter if its in the house, on the porch, on the grass, on the sidewalk or in the street. Do we all forget how MISERABLE Snyder was last year? Yes part of it was the supporting cast around him and part of it was his injury before the season, but my lord he was horrible.

STs is gonna be a huge deciding factor this year, it needs to be better for us to succeed farther.

Nice list AB...tough one to decide esp. when you try to add in some dynamic ST players, a clear weakness of ours. I kept the positions I have some differences in above but given this team, it could very well shake out like this. At the same token, it's a dynamic 53 b/c the positions I didn't highlight above, we pretty much all agree on (mass majority). Let the competition sort 'em out!

I think Tuku should make it, at least early on.
Carradine and Dial will need time , and Niners probably dont want to rely on Williams as the only DL rotating in.

If Fleming makes the roster , his versatility will be the reason why , I was hoping he could have played last year so the coaching staff could groom him as an extra pass rusher , but Moody might have the upper hand, he is healthy, can play special teams , and has a high ceiling to tap at ILB

Thanks bud. It will be tough, I think versatility will be a huge factor also.
