Cool I like Jaws. I find him entertaining. Kaep will only get better with more playing time. He is not just a pistol QB, he can fire it from the pocket as well. Kaep can kill defenses in multiple ways! He can use his arm, legs, or brain. Pick your poison, he is not a one trick pony.

His accuracy on the intermediate and deep throws is what has impressed me. He has a competive will that will keep this team in any game and once he learns to read defenses quicker he will be a top 3 Qb in every catagory.

That's what impressed me the most about Kaepernick, is his ability to pass from the pocket and not just be called a scrambling QB. He can do what Mike Vick cannot.

I knew Kaepernick was special when he made 1 throw that stood out to me running to his left with defenders chasing him and threw a DIME to Crabtree a thing of beauty imo. Has the CHANCE to become a Great QB but had alot to prove but has Great Upside I'm gonna LOVE watching him play!

I thought he was spot on when he talked about Alex. His schtick gets old at times, but the man knows NFL quarterbacking.

Pretty stupid comment after just his first partial season. I love Kaep like everyone else, and he has an insane upside, but you could say the same thing for Wilson, Luck, RG3. No player should be talked about as having the potential to be the best of all time until they have 5-7+ years under their belt.

Drives me crazy when people talk about the pistol as a fad! First of all, read option and pistol are not the same thing. I will agree at least as far as it may be a "fad" to have your QB carry the ball 10 times a game. RG, Cam Newton, and CK aren't guys that coaches are going to expose to those hits.

But the pistol? It's just a slightly shorter shotgun snap with more people in the backfield (usually). There's no reason for it to fade away. It's a brilliant innovation that allows for a far more creative running game.

He was just giving his opinion, not sworn testimony to a grand jury. Nothing wrong with making prognostications since they don't really mean anything; they're only good for getting a rise out of sports fans, and maybe a little more air-time/web traffic. So no harm, no foul IMO.

Will he bring us the super bowls that Joe did?

No because he says stupid stuff. The two things are not related. But his opinions tend to be extreme like this and are very reactionary in nature. If Kaep had a couple plays go differently and he had lost to ATL or not at least mounted a comeback against BAL, Jaws would probably be calling him a gimmick QB who the league will figure out within a year. And he may very well say such a thing if he has tough game or two during the beginning of the season next year.

It's great to hear someone talk up Kaep, but if a fool calls you a fool (or a genius) what difference does it make? His commentary (to me) has devolved from what at one point was actual analysis to wild random fluctuations of opinion designed to get reactions instead of giving insight.

I didn't see any hate for him when he constructively criticized Alex Smith, I've always had respect for Jaws because he actually played the position.

Don't get too bent out of shape people. What Jaws is saying is similar to saying that Kaep has the physical tools and skill set to QBing that Lebron James has in basketball. Lebron is a freak at 6'8" 260 and what he can do and Kaep has freakish abilities at QB with his size, arm strength, speed, poise, competitiveness, bravado and looks. It is easy to be enamored with him and all of his gifts as it was for ESPN and NIKE to become with Lebron. But like Lebron, Kaep has lost on the big stage unlike Joe and MJ23. We should just enjoy this and watch how this plays out. Also, as we all know, the team, the system and the coaches have a lot to do with Kaep's potential. In this situation he has an excellent chance to do well
