Was Justin Smith playing at pre-injury level?

I dont think he was able to hold mutliple blockers as well as he used to be. If Justin Smith was really back to normal, Aldon Smith would have been more productive.

Still better than RJF. he was double teamed most of the night and pushed the line back. Blame Aldon for not having more of an impact

Aldon Smith needs to figure out a way to be productive without Justin Smith. Cuz Cowboy may not be around much longer at his age and salary

Just cuz aldon didn't have any sacks does not mean he wasn't productive

I didnt see Aldon put all that much pressure on Aaron last night. Sacks or no sacks, Aldon hasnt been getting it done lately (at least not by his standards)

There is no way he hasn't lost upper body strength while being sidelined. As simple as that. A guy whose #1 move is bull rush and power.
If we are scoring 30 points a game, it won't matter against Atlanta (or Baltimore)

You weren't watching very closely then. He almost had a sack or two. And I saw countless occasions when he drove his man straight backwards to collapse the pocket on Rodgers.

I saw the same. Gotta watch the game and not the stat line. People also forget sacks at times come in bunches. In order for Aldon to improve, he's going to have to improve his game in run support by setting the edge better, getting more tackles for losses, and forced fumbles (he did get one last night however). This is really the difference between him and Von Miller right now. Smith has the better sack numbers but Miller does the other things better.

Aldon almost forced a fumble on Rodger (Aaron recovered the ball).

Half a Cowboy is still more than enough for two blockers.
