Man, those Falcons players sure like to talk trash. While all is quiet on the western front.

f**k roddy white. Reminds me of jay cutler saying good luck trying to bump our receivers to the packers. You'll see roddy you dumb f**king b***h
Falcons remind me a lot of us last year. Winning vs the Seahawks was their main goal coming into the playoffs. Finally getting that playoff win , that's really all they were trying to do so the media would shut up about it. Now their all giddy and riled up after a big win that their not gonna come in as prepared and focused as they should be. Last year after beating the Saints the city was so much more electric and excited. Justin Smith admitted lack of focus and too much excitement in the locker room the week after beating the Saints.

We're out to handle our unfinished business while the Falcons have no idea what's coming to them. Lets go.

Roddy is harmless. f**k him and his dreads. f**king mop head.
Went out tonight with some friends (there's this great western cigar bar in Itaewon--a real gem) one of whom turned out to be a Falcons fan. I tried explaining why our D was built to dominate pass first teams...he tried to tell me that Michael Turner is a dominant RB. Then he told me I was just trying to get my nerve up before the game

I've read that but our D sure didn't seem unfocused against the giants. That was a great performance

I would say that this guy is an idiot, but he isn't a 49er fan so he wouldn't know the intimate details of our defense's composition and it's body of work this season

I wonder if Alex Smith pulled any scout work this week? With his football knowledge and experience under Nolan, it'd be nice if he spent a bunch of time pick apart tape for Harbaugh & co. That dude has to be wanting to do a little more work to help the team than just going through second team snaps a few times a week.

Pretty sure that Nolan's defense in Atlanta is likely different to the defense he had here. I don't think he could have provided anything valuable especially given it was a good 5 years ago.

I agree for the most part...however IIRC, we were very "bend but don't break" with Nolan as our DC and it seems as if that's exactly how ATL is as well. Very conservative on D but not mistake prone. This is why I think we should play them straight up and just put a hat on a hat and run the ball up the gut and see if that works first.

This is true and was very evident against the Seahawks. I think the difference however is that the Falcon's defense is able to force turnovers this year.

LOL.. I think, Falcons fans are scared of us because the 49ers is too strong and beat the Packers last sunday. Go Niners!
I hope our defense reads that article or the quotes are put up. Let the defense see that they feel that they can break out tackles. GRRRR! I hope our defense comes out and locks them down. Couple BIG LEGAL hits to set the tone and make them realize maybe you're not as good at breaking tackles like you think. I hope lol.

The Niners' offensive line has nearly 40 lbs as an average in weight advantage vs Atlanta's D line

Atlanta's starting D Line weight
Biermann, Kroy DE 6-3 255
Babineaux, Jonathan DT 6-2 300
Jerry, Peria DT 6-2 295
Abraham, John DE 6-4 263
Average weight: 278 lbs

49ers starting O Line weight
Staley, Joe T 6-5 315
Iupati, Mike G 6-5 331
Goodwin, Jonathan C 6-3 318
Boone, Alex G 6-8 300
Davis, Anthony T 6-5 323
Average weight: 317
317-278=39

Yes, Gore 'em. Frank up the gut.
