There is no chemistry with Kaep and VD. Alex got him the ball fine in the first half of the season. Kaep misses all his passes to him. But his good at hitting Crabtree. There is just no timing and chemistry with VD at all. Plus our offensive gameplan is bad IMO. We keep VD in to block too much. You don't have a 4.3 TE to block. That's just dumb. Use him.

They could definitely use a little more imagination. The Seahawks ran a play in their last game where their TE stayed in to block a rushing linebacker and then released late allowing the linebacker through and Wilson just lofted it over the oncoming linebacker. There wasn't anyone within 20 yards of the TE. You'd think they could at least do something like that with Davis. Their guy lumbered for about 15 yards. Davis would have probably gotten 25 in the same situation.

Again, and this is not that hard to understand, when Davis releases and goes down field, a safety watches him over the top. That means the safety is NOT watching Walker if he also goes down field so Walker is open. This is defense 101. Do you get it? And please don't pretend that a QB can throw it to Davis even if he is covered. He's not a natural receiver like a Jimmy Grahm or a Tony Gonzolez, but he's a better all around TE.

Vernon is a mismatch...
...if we have a LB covering him man and Vernon is not running any routes that require him to get out of his breaks quickly.
Man, dare I say it...Vernon is a great talent but he is...limited.

We need to be more creative. He's the most explosive player we have.

One word. Witten. Big guy, not fast, goes down 4-5 yds , comes back...bingo. 6 yd completion. And you all can say anything you want about vernon, but this is a case of disastrous coaching and playcalling abuse. Hell if roman doesn't know how to get vernon the ball, tell him to watch the feckless Cowboys and Witten..who is doubled, not necessarily fast, but he does a come backer, or buttonhook, and bingo, ball on the money time after time. What in the name of heck is so dam hard about that. It is also a reason CC and I both have a total dislike for roman, because you have to be stupid not to use vernon. This isn't the old vernon. This is the new one. And I swear, roman has no idea what to do with him, and worse, our HC, buys into it. NOT VERNON's fault, guys, this qualifies as ca ca for coaching.
It would be a nice time to change that , say Sat nite? My hope? Is that roman's microphone is cut off and he just watches and gives hand signals from the pressbox where nobody can see him. Now that would be a pleasant change. I also hope JH's new boy, has taken his own personal time to work with vernon. Because it is plain as day, kap can't hit him to save his life. One rainbow, that set vernon up for a career ender... Just got a concussion, but that is not what a GOOD Qb does to his receivers. Kap has responsiblilty here also, and he has fluffed on this. That is a bad sign. Peyton manning would be working his and vernon's azz off if he were on the broncos...and vernon would be a heckuva good receiver. Think bad coaching here. Really bad.
