Unlikely. They have been very inconsistent all year long. To win 3 in a row in the playoffs or 4 against excellent teams with this inconsistent team is very unlikely.

I don't even think we make the playoffs

I think we make it. But it's probably a pretty early exit after we do.

yeah but not if we GOT HOT WHAAAAAAAAAAT
Super Bowl defense and coaching staff... plus an efficent offense that doesnt turn it over... so yes

This question is so easy to answer, all you have to do is look at one position....the QB. Can he produce 3-4 consecutive games of playing at a "great" level? ....from what we seen so far, no.
Of course we can!
We seem to be runs where teams can't stop us. Then we go cold.
Question is does the bye week in the playoff hurt or helps us? Seems like the answer is obvious: rest is best. But it seems like if we are hot we should keep playing.

So the Giants were consistent in there last two superbowl runs?

Depends on how many road games we got. Having to go to Chicago or GB in January is a BAD idea --- the Niners are 3-9 in cold weather games since 2000.

Having to go play in a DOME is a BAD idea as well.

Our best shot is to grab the 2nd seed (at LEAST!), play a second round match against Chicago or GB at home, and then maybe have to face ATL for the NFCC game.

If we get the 3rd seed, you're looking at a first round matchup against CHI/GB (loser of division), NY/DAL (loser of division), or Seattle at home....followed by a trip to CHI/GB (winner of division) in round 2, and then possibly ATL for the NFCC. NO WAY we can overcome those odds....
Anyone can. Except the Falcons. They eternally suck.

The Patriots were pretty horrendous on D last year as well and inconsistent on O throughout the season with the Chad Ochocinco Experiment gone wrong....they went all the way too. The Giants are the epitome of struggle-early-finish-strong. I think we're a better rounded team than BOTH those squads....we'll GOT hot

Through that span of 3-9 in "cold weather" games since 2000, how many of those players are still on the roster? Brian Jennings? This is a totally new team.
The 49ers have players from all over who have played in cold weather before. I'm sure Anthony Davis knows what's it like to play in cold coming from Jersey....
The idea is to make sure everyone is focused on the game...that's up to the coaches. Those history stats mean nada.

Roddy White said they had the "pedigree".
