what bothers me is how we get outcoached in the losses. sunday was a prime example again esp on those fake kicks,, getting tooled and fooled twice?? please. I thought we had the golden boys of the nfl coaching industry,, in my opinion JH needs to stop f**king building houses for poor people and talking to high school teams and get his own coaching house in order

Hi everyone! I just want to say that I'm very excited about this game vs the Bears. This is an opportunity for the 49ers to show their dominance against a reputable team. We are VERY fortunate that the team is relatively healthy and there are no key players injured! And I think Alex Smith is on the brink of becoming an elite QB and he will prove that once we get to the playoffs with the offense clicking like a well oiled machine! Also, I am happy for Kaepernick, he is making the best of his opportunities! We have an awesome backup!
ok that's it.
Who's got it better than us!? Noobody!!

Smith will play, but it will still be a defensive battle. I doubt Cutler gets cleared, and Id favor the Alex vs. Campbell matchup in Candlestick. It's not going to be a shootout, but I think we have a good shot at winning this week.

Rams have a running game and some receivers who want to prove themselves. Armadillo played his arse off...injured and all. And their defense has played well for the most part this season (oh here comes dtg running in here with those two 400 yard games).
Bradford played smart and played well against our defense, in our stadium.
They are still an inconsistent team that are trying to get their sh1t together...we were there a few years back. We upset other teams a few times as well when we were on our game.
but yes they are a team we should beat, especially at home....but at least we are getting to see how teams are going to be game planning against us, we have the rest of the season to tie up some loose ends before playoff time.
Divissional games are always tough, but this tie would have been easier to swallow had it been in STL. Coming off a bye week......playing at home....winning 2 important divisional games before the week off.......everything was set up for a commanding lead in the NFC West, except we came out flat (again). Whats most disturbing is the inconsistency we have on defense. Fine, on offense we can blame the lack of production on mediocre QB play, awful playcalling, dropped passes, etc....same old story. But this is a dominating defense --- the problem I have is that they come out flat by CHOICE, and after they get their asses whipped for a couple drives, they wake up and play great again.
We gave up 14 points in the first 2 drives......then 10 for the rest of the game. Make those 14 pts into 6, and this is an easy win for us. Been seeing a lot of "lets take some plays off" with this defense this year. Better shape up....doesnt work so well in the playoffs.

Defense ALWAYS shows up for big games. Just decides to take off against mediocre teams for some reason. So far this season, our D has come out flat against Minn and STL (both easy wins we thought). They did pretty well against Eli....Giants just blew us out because they got good field pos bc of TOs.
As for STs, Im not concerned except for Akers slump. 2 fake punts from a team (1 from their own endzone, the other from their side of the field late in the 4th) is a sign of desperation. Not even the best STs in the league would be prepared for that. If Akers can get his leg on straight (and he will be needed against the CHI defense), I expect us to show up BIG for MNF.
But yeah, you're right. Our season depends HEAVY on Alex Smith. Kaep played admirable, but no way he can hang with the big boys. Not yet, at least. Alex leads the path to ring number 6, and I hope we get our gamefaces on starting this week. Cant wait.

Our weakness on defense is covering the WCO. Quick slants and short passes do not favor us, IMO. We struggle against guys like Amendola and Cruz. Chicago does not pose that problem. Brandon Marshall, Calvin Johnson, Greg Jennings are big time targets that usually go for the jugular. Wont be a factor IMO.

My Pops and bro are Ram fans. I have not forgotten how serious the rivalry is. Although many may not speak on how vicious it is, it is a very serious rivalry. It has been for years and I expected nothing less than what I saw on Sunday. Sometimes its close and sometimes its a blowout, but at the end of the day its gonna be a brawl if the Rams have even a few weapons to work with unlike years ago when they had almost nothing and when we had almost nothing.

ive beens aying forever
we struggle against quick and shifty WR
disagree about the WCO but typically its the slot WR that give us trouble watch out for welker when we play patriots
youre right however that bears dont possess that guy key is too take out the deep passes and shut down forte

We need to get our act together fast!!! Too much inconsistent play. I mean who are we? We dominate and I mean dominate 2 games then lay and egg.... This is the time to build consistency. Can we do it down the stretch? We need to win all 3 remaining home games - chi, Miami, az... And at least 2/4 away Seattle, no, rams and new england to win the division and compete for top seeds. That game sucked... Obviously Akers didn't miss the kick on purpose but come on man!!! I could taste the win!!! Tie is better than a loss but we needed 4 wins to get into the tournament and after that we still need at least 4 wins t get in!!!
