I do, and you should.
When every other 49er that i follow posts things like "Just got a good workout in, got my mind right, ready to go!" and Boobie is posting wack ass rap lyrics, theres something off.
Assuming you can tell about a persons character and work ethic from twitter is the only thing "off" IMO.
Yeah just because he post stuff on twitter doesn't mean his doesn't work his tail off. He was in the bay area all off season working out at the facility with players like Justin Smith. And we all know Justin's work ethic.

^^^Plus 1. I agree. His tweets offend me and Lamicheal James tweets aren't to far off either
wow your name is...... cripplinyastyle.... and rap lyrics offend you. These guys are hard working young men and work hard all the time. If they wanna have a little fun on twitter why should that bother you?

I really do not care why they let him go. our special teams captain we had last year in blake was wonderfull but could only do one thing well. we got rid of him, found rock who is just as good as blake is in regards to special teams but can do many other things.Jh likes a good vet who can multi task. rock is that, dixon is not. It will come down to the last cut but rock stays, dixon goes.
this is what I am saying, you guys treat Rock like he is a 4 time probowler. He signed a 1yr deal and all he can do is play ST. He is as valuable as Colin Jones is lol

Is was obviously Rock's choice to leave Oakland. He is highly respected around the league as a ST Ace, and has been doing it for years. I love Jones, but it was 1 season, I'll take the consistent Rock over a 1yr guy. At least Rock can play RB, Jones doesn't seem to have grasped playing Safety.
I hate when people say "lets just stick a rookie back there" either on ST Ace or as a Returner just to save a roster spot, when these guys like Rock and Ginn are among the top 53 players, which is what you try to have, best 53, not best 46 and then some young rookies who probably won't help or play.
As for Dixon, he is useless, he can't gain any yards, and looks clueless on the field.
Guys like Rock, Gooden, and Leonard Davis all signed vet minimum deals that only count $540K against the cap, so it's not killing the cap, if they are among the top 53, which IMO they are, then you keep them.

cc, are you totally ignoring cartwright's performance in texans game? i believe you said you haven't watched it.....so hopefully someone will upload it...pay attention to what dixon is doing everytime he is on the field...then do the same for cartwright...and tell us what you think after that

Can't agree with you anymore than that my friend. Everything said was 110% correct IMO.

Dixon couldn't do anything against the 1st team Texans defense, when Rock Cartwright was running behind a 2nd string(at best) OL against a 1st team DL, so I dont see a big deal. Cartwright does more than Dixon will ever do/done. He also ran behind a 1st team OL against a 1st team DL, which isn't terrible in the Vikings. Believe it or not there front 7 is really good, it's there piss poor DBs that are awful.
I go off of his career, he has been consistent in Washington and Oakland. Either Returner, ST Ace, RB, Catching or even FB, he brings more than Dixon. I never would go with the quote on quote "potential" in a player over a proven vet who can get the job done.

At first cc, I thought Jacobs was a horrible signing, but now he has shown he can play. Another thing for Cartwright and Dixon, our OL isn't great like everyone wants to say it is, needs fine tooling, so when Jacobs and Rock run good/great and Dixon does crap, that tells a lot.

"dixon, he is useless, he can't gain any yards, and looks clueless on the field" ab, stick with the salary cap opinions buddy because you sure are letting feelings affect your judgement. how can you say he looks clueless out on the field when he did a great job of pass protecting that whole game...or picking up a 1st down catching a ball that required good route running and timing.....or picking up a first down on a 3rd and 8 when we were backed up against our endzone last week....as far as useless, he had 2tds last year when he was the 3rd string rb.

Agreed again. Dixon has his chance with Jacobs out and he kinda blew it a bit, he needs to show something in the next 2 weeks to improve his roster stock.

Clueless because when needed he can't get even 1 yard to continue a drive. I dont hate Dixon, I think he isn't as great as people thought or hoped he would be. I like the idea of proven over potential, we aren't a rebuilding team, we are a Super Bowl team, and Rock can make this team even better than last year on STs. It sucked losing Costanzo, but Cartwright is as good if not better than him.
