Ginn limped off the field after he was tackled around the right ankle by Broncos linebacker Steven Johnson following a nine-yard reverse in the third quarter of San Francisco's 29-24 preseason win Sunday. Ginn was taken to the locker room and X-rays were negative, Jim Harbaugh said. Ginn missed the final two games of the 2011 regular season with a sprained ankle. He then returned for the NFC divisional playoffs, but suffered a knee injury that kept him out of offseason workouts.
If Ginn isn't ready for Week 1 against the Packers, Kyle Williams will likely handle punt-return duties.

If this happens, it'll be poetic justice. After all the BS he's had to go through.
If he returns a TD, it would be epic.
