I'm proud to say I've been to Candlestick. Yes, it may be a dump and old but it has a lot of history and a lot of personality. I've only been there once it was a few years ago on MNF against the Cards where we kicked the s**t outta them. I'll be sad to see it go. I hope I'll be able to go to the last game at Candlestick.

I'm hoping that last game will be an NFC Championship game. ;-)

SF is too small to let a big space like that completely go to waste. I just wonder what it'll turn into. Golf course? Wal-mart? Low income housing?(no wait that's Oakland)
edit: Just read someone's post on the previous page, it is houses! lol.

Agree. Sad to see it go, but will be happy with new stadium.

The urinal troughs could make great planters.

I hope, in the new housing development, they interject 49ers history somehow. Like naming the streets, parks, library, etc after our HOF personnel. Like Bill Walsh Drive or Ronnie Lott Elementary. I don't know what sort of education kids would get there, but you get my point.

They can't do with the stick what they did to Kezar??? Save that s**t doe and let high school teams play in it. Just downsize it or something there won't be 50,000 people watching the games. Playing in Kezar in high school was f**kin dope.

But that's what Kezar is for. Honestly there's not much money in HS football or even the occasional college game to be dedicating funds toward downsizing. Plus ya'll already know space is at a premium in SF, the city is only so big. It just doesn't make sense to have two kezars lol.

That better be taken with and put up in the new stadium. They can call the stadium whatever but it better be Bill Walsh Field.
