Either way this means the niners might be moving up to get a guard in the draft

That contract was offered at the start of FA, and the fact that Smith/Condom refused that offer is probably what caused the Niners to get in the Manning race.
Talks of the Niners and Alex not being on the same page for a contract were coming up before the start of FA, which was last Tuesday. Apparently, Harbaugh and Manning met on Tuesday.
Makes sense to me.

when do we expect the terms of this deal to be disclosed? That really interests me w/the possibility of signing Peyton and maybe an OG. Something tells me we got this guy for cheap under $6M/year maybe $4.5 even

I thought his asking price would be in the 4 year 18 million dollar range.

Glad to see that we have a 2nd receiver that can go over the middle with the ability to potentially go deep. The unfortunate bit is that he seems to forget or bail on his routes once in a while.

Nope. Read the tweet before
"@AdamSchefter: Upon further review, @profootballtalk was first to report the news of Mario Manningham's deal in San Francisco. Ruling is reversed."
"@AdamSchefter: As @RavensInsider reported, former Giants WR Mario Manningham reacheed agreement with the 49ers on a two-year deal."
