It's not a big deal... Really it's not. This team grew by leaps and bounds this season and did so with no off season to really get things sorted out. Making it that far yet falling just short will only prove to galvanize this squad and give them the drive and confidence to be a title contender for years to come. This is no one and done team here. Sit back and relax, this team will be preparing everyday to take a title next year and the next...

Disappointed but not bummed. I had predicted a 7-9 record before the season started. So much improvement in so many areas.
You always learn more from your loses than you do your victories. In the Giants game we vividly saw the difference between the WRs on the two teams. Now almost every mock I read has the 49ers taking a wide out, some even suggest a trade up if the right situation develops. Give us a big guy and a fast guy to go along with Morgan and Crabtree and this team will be a SB contender next season. Can't be bummed about that.

You never know with injuries, or which way the ball is going to bounce, but I see them consistently in the hunt for the foreseeable future. I agree that this is the best defense in franchise history, and it's a shame we couldn't capitalize on it, but it's a team game and the offense wasn't championship caliber. Maybe now we can attract better free agents, though, like a great WR to push us over the top. There is good chemistry, the pride of the franchise is being restored. There is reason for optimism. Harbaugh and the players aren't going to just fall apart. They've been stockpiling talent for years and this is their time to make a run.
Nice post, BS... You might want to think about changing your handle after making points like this...

The more you win , the more you want to win , the further you go , the further you want to go so when it ends it leaves you hollow for a few days. i am fine and just looking forward to a full off season and even better things to come. This is not a chiefs thing where its a one year wonder. The people who are still angry at williams and the world need to get a life. I would rather focus on what is left to do as compared to what was not done this year and i am sure the coaches feel the same way

Only one team gets to win the last game of the season. The other 31 don't. I'm glad we won one of the last 7. That is good.

It will take awhile. Hope the Pats blow away the G-Men so at least i can assume the same would have happened to us....
If the G-men win, i believe that would have been our 6th trophy,,,,,,,,damn KW

Its those of us with chemical imbalances that are having trouble with this. Just a fact.

It will always suck. 92 loss to the cowboys still sucks. Craig's fumble still sucks. But you know what. It's football. We move on. If we get there then the sting goes away. So I guess I can fairly say that I've tucked the suck away in the back of my brain and I'm seriously optimistic about next year and very happy that we have a team that competed for ALL OF IT this year. I'm also hopefull that Alex has not played his best football, that we will be better on offense and that we'll get there sooner rather than later.
