To paraphrase Carlos Rogers, it all comes down to who makes the plays. I think they can win more convincingly than they did in November but they have to have luck go their way. A bad bounce, a tipped ball, a fumble...anything can change the game. The good thing about the 9ers is that they tend to limit mistakes and this means they have a better chance to play their game and win. Eli tends to make a mental error to two per game and if the 9ers can capitalize on those...great things will happen!

Voted somewhat. Though, I'm more confident winning this game than vs. the Packers.
Giants passing > Niners passing
Giants running < Niners running
Giants pass D = Niners pass D (seems even)
Giants run D < Niners run D
Giants ST < Niners ST
Based on that, I have 49ers winning 3 of 5 categories and when you add home field advantage, you gotta like our chances in this one.

I got to take us at home. We beat them once. They are good but you can't deny how good we are either. The confidence of the first win plus the home field advantage I got to give it to us. I wish there was a choice between nail biter and handily on the poll. I think we will handle our business though. This is all coming together for the team. It's going to be a good game. I am sure the Giants feel sky high after beating the Pack. I live in NY and all the giants fans are convinced they will win. Rightly so. They just embarassed the packers. But two road trips in a row is tough. They are playing good football but so are we. I feel very good about this game.

I actually think the Giants are a bigger threat than the Packers. I'm 70-30 on this game because I think the Giants will need a turnover advantage to win this game. That's not happening. Our defense will force 2 turnovers minimum and our offense will not give the Giants opportunities like the Packers did.
That being said the Giants are road proven in the playoffs and have overcome regular season losses on multiple occasions.

I picked the Niners to win, but I'm nervous. This game will come down to the last possession just like the first time we played the Giants.
Don't make a mistake about it, the Giants are a GREAT football team. Sure their LBers and secondary blow, but their D-Line helps hide those weaknesses. Nicks/Cruz are arguably the best WR combo in the league this year, both are getting ridiculous YAC.
I picked the Niners because of special teams. Special teams plays a huge role in close games, so I expect it to tip the game in our favor. Also, I don't think the Giants have a chance to stop Vernon Davis who should go over 100 yards again.

After the Giants came off an emotional win over new England and were 6-2 they came riding into candlestick. The team is a little more focused thus better, but so are we. I think they ride into the 'stick and play one for the ages but the niners out physical them and wear them out by the end.
In the end we go up by 10 or so and put it out of reach. But the whole game is played much closer maybe with a couple lead changes.

Seems like a lot of people are just assuming we're going to win the turnover battle in this one. Any given sunday. You never know if the Giants can turn the tables and win the turnover battle against us just like we out-Brees'd Drew Brees yesterday.

I also think the NFC Championship is the real Superbowl. Both the Niners and Giants are better on a neutral field than either of the AFC teams.
the patriots are f**king legit though

the Pats D is worse than most of the teams in the entire league, I don't care what they did to Tebow.

we will win the same way we have done all season! stop the run and cause turnovers while limiting turnovers offensively and pounding the ball with our run game. If that fails then we make the adjustment to shoot out mode which we know now is capable for our offense. HARBAUGH IS A GENIUS

We punch them in the mouth. Brandon Jacobs was interviewed after the game by NFL Network, and was asked if he knew what he was in for going to SF. He's eyes got real big and his demeanor obviously changed when he answered it by saying "Oh yeah I know what we're in for"
I don't think I've ever seen a defense that hits so hard that it profoundly changes teams. Eagles, Lions, and Giants are all teams that went into tailspins after we beat them. I hope the same crew that officiated the game Saints will officiate the game with the Giants. The did a terrific job IMO.

Giants went into a tailspin after we beat them? Aren't we playing them for the NFC Championship?
